"Nothing gold can stay, like love or lemonade" - Music To Watch Boys To, 2015
"And as the summer fades away, nothing gold can stay" - Venice Bitch, 2019
the parallelism.
there's a reason why NFR feels like a new Honeymoon. the old and the new testament. ugh her mind...

I called my dad to tell him the album is out. “Hey dad! Lana’s album is out so you can listen to it on your Spotify.” “Oh great! What’s it called?” “I-...”
norman freaking rockwell! :3

am i the only one who doesnt mind the jingle bells in HTD? i like the production on the track, its not bad at all. feels very nostalgic.
maybe some people in here need to get over the acoustic live performance of it from a year ago
"How to disappear" is a song that requires a certain level of intelligence to appreciate. That's why it only appeals to intellectuals. The advanced mind you need to have in order to be able to comprehend the pure intellect of this song just isn't measurable. Lana knew EXACTLY what she was doing.

after a few days, i think it's safe to say that my album ranking goes like this:
1. Honeymoon
2. Norman Fucking Rockwell!
3. Ultraviolence/Born To Die
4. AKA
5. Paradise
mess @ me only realizing now that i left out Lust For Life.
i'm fine tho.

i mean, let's not fool ourselves again. the grammy's will probably snub her like they've always done. they can keep handing out their awards to Edith Sheeran and the like. idc

i'm so glad she announced there's another album coming, i really need new Lana material at this point in my life, and now i have a reason not to kill myself before 2020.

Y'all forget that Norman Fucking Rockwell is a summer album set in an apocalyptic world. By having a xmas song in the middle of the album Lana is telling us that climate change became so severe that winter turned into summer, and now when they celebrate xmas there's no more snow or winter because it's fucking hot and California is in flames. It's all part of the storytelling keep up with it hoes

it's because it sounds like a Xmas song and doesn't have the same production as in the live version.
I mean, it definitely has some xmas/winter vibes but i don't mind it all. it's cute and dreamy. how sad that HTD is reduced to be that underrated song that deserves more love. tragic.

why is How to disappear (from the charts) so hated in here? i'm still waiting for a logical answer.

The new Coachella. People think is bad produced so they are gonna drag it.
But the reality is that the song is pretty well produced and the lyrical content is amazing.
sorry to contradict you but How to disappear and Roachella are of no comparison sis. what a disgusting thing to say.

okay NOW i have a good question: fav song off EACH album and WHY
one song is pretty much impossible so ima name two per album.
AKA: probably Brite Lites or Smarty. actually the whole album is pure slayage but it's often too underrated, even by the artist who recorded it :/
BTD: Diet Mtn Dew or Radio. because of nostalgia etc... and ironically, the whole album reminds me of a happier time in my life, which makes me sad because my life is the pits rn.
UV: West Coast or Brooklyn Baby. generic answer but that's on period and any other answer is scientifically proven to be WRONG. shoutout to Pretty When You Cry tho.
Honeymoon: Freak and Religion. but tbh it depends on my mood. the whole album is slayage through and through so all the songs (except for track #8) are interchangeable for me.
LFL: my username for the simple reason that i lost my virginity to it x
love God Bless America too.
NFR: Cinnamon God and Fuck it I love you. but i'm still freshly bald from listening to the album so i think it might be too early to tell.
