  1. so you finally get the point of the thread! it took some time but you came around we love character development here! so which songs were those ripping off? or did someone else rip those songs off? either way, i'd be interested to hear the opposite of the rip off, etc. (while not necessarily a rip off, I do think Money and Easy Money are very similar, but I also hate Robert Fripp as a person, even though his music was still important for the time)
  2. i'm so sorry hearing is a problem for you, considering this is a music-centric forum. i would definitely get my ears checked if i were you. in fact, i'll leave you with a list of greats that even you with your hearing issues might enjoy
  3. this is silly. i could sit here and name off artists, but it doesn't matter. you can continue thinking pink floyd is a godsend or whatever complex you have for them, but they simply ripped off a song by the lyricist of some of cream's best songs. it simply is what it is. clean your ears girl! it literally doesn't mean much and your opinion really doesn't matter. i sent the song to a few other people and they noticed it too. i didn't tell them anything about what i thought it sounded like and they immediately knew what it was similar to, so clearly it isn't just me. one of those people has owned a record shop for 20+ years, so you tell me... lol
  4. girl you sure? because i heard this immediately and you choose selective hearing because you're a floyd stan. like i said, i love floyd and they do have original content, but roger waters is a shit and this sadly doesn't surprise me at all.
  5. the selective hearing from a floyd stan doesn't surprise me. don't get me wrong, i love floyd and have been a huge fan since i was in high school (my stoner days) but it really disappointed me, hearing something that came out 3 years before dark side of the moon and hearing that the melody was ripped off. it's the exact same song. i'm not saying it's the wah wah pedal or synths, literally listen to the song and sing the floyd lyrics over it, it's not that hard. if you still can't hear it you need one of these
  6. she made a comment saying "what to let go?" so she's manifesting being a slut lmao
  7. i wonder if they ever acknowledged it? i see someone commented about lana on their video lol i don't hear it (but i hate can't fight the moonlight so i'm glad there's another reason!) lol jk i really don't hear it, but maybe it's just me. the song i mentioned in the OP my bf had listened to and didn't up on it until i pointed it out lmaooo
  8. So I was driving around with my bf today and he found something on Soulseek lastnight that someone had told him to listen to. He thought it sounded like Bowie so on our way to lunch today, he played it in the car and I noticed something more intriguing... the song is called Thousands On A Raft by by Pete Brown & Piblokto! (1970) and initially when I heard it, I started singing the song it sounded even more similar to... which wasn't Bowie. It sounds nearly identical to Brain Damage by Pink Floyd (1973). It turns out Thousands On A Raft came out three years BEFORE Floyd's record dropped. For comparison, he's the songs in question: Adding to the OP. Some think it's also similar to Us & Them by Pink Floyd (same record) which doesn't surprise me. Also, come to think of it, both albums were released on the same label so it wouldn't be surprising to me if they did hear this album before making theirs. Have you ever heard a song that's like this? One that's almost exactly identical? There's also the situation with Stairway To Heaven ripping off Taurus by Spirit. They don't have to be Lana or necessarily pop music either (pop music is harder to rip off anyway these days, it used to be easier to rip off more obscure songs/albums back in the 60s/70s because there was a lot of less heard of music that even now, I'm still discovering randomly.)
  9. honestly? i've vote for my left testicle to be removed before i voted for one of them for anything.
  10. no, but they’re larger words, that typically aren’t in a bridge, let alone a lot of songs.
  11. the entire bridge for hope There's a new revolution, a loud evolution that I saw Born of confusion and quiet collusion of which mostly I've known A modern day woman with a weak constitution, 'cause I've got Monsters still under my bed that I could never fight off A gatekeeper carelessly dropping the keys on my nights off
  12. I hope A&W goes like this: "I'm American & a whore find me down at the corner store watch me get down on the floor they say I'm American and that I'm a whore I'm a whore, I'm a whore" 7+ minutes long and she also mentions being the queen of the gas station
  13. i thought this was a photographer
  14. it's totally okay!! i was really hoping in the new year i could see if anyone would want to take it over. i've had a lot to take care of and didn't have the time that i thought i would. i hate that it ended up flopping but i'm so down for someone to take it over and try again bc it could still be super fun <3
  15. the girls r runnin round in summer dresses with their masks off
  16. i'm late here but BOZ said there's nothing old reworked here, so take that as whatever thats supposed to mean lmao maybe she meant physically introducing? nvm i see the context now
  17. I used to have my unreleased collection split up this way until it became too big that iTunes had issues gathering all of the metadata correctly, so I stuffed everything back into one album. Now, I'll from time to time make playlists or with album songs and their unreleased too that fit in, sometimes its just unreleased stuff that makes sense or matches the tone of other songs (Hawaiian Tropic, St. Tropez, etc)
  18. if yall don't nominate me for Lipster of the Decade
  19. leak it so they leak the other one take one for the team
