Lonerism is a good album and Currents is my favorite of his (but tbh my bf has a first pressing special edition vinyl copy of Innerspeaker and i’m very proud to say that i’ll be listening to that soon when we get a place together in the near future bc i fucking love that album) Kevin has been one of those producers that, you’re right, is very particular about what he makes. He makes absolute fucking jams, the entire Currents album changed my life at the end of high school for me, something like a cross between Eventually with Lana’s voice oooo.... Also, can we get FJM and his team working on an album with Lana? PLEASE? A collab record just with him. Imagine a I Love You Honeybear + Lana or a God’s Favorite Customer + Lana omg

I don’t think it’s off the table. I think when she finds inspiration with one artist person who connects with her, she makes the music she’s wanting to make and she feels is right. Sometimes she makes bigger music. She just needs to meet him at a party (Florence, if you’re ever on the internet and read this, you’re friends with both, get them together... PLEASE)

I think it’s pretty obvious Lana’s working with Jack again on this project but here’s my list of producers I’d love for her to work with at some point, on this record or on future projects •Tyler The Creator - He seems to be friendly with her. She performed at his Camp Flog Knaw festival a few years ago and I love his production style. I don’t think she needs his hip hop beats but i do feel like he know what he’s doing when he makes sick instrumentals and sick music. •Kevin Parker/Tame Impala - His vibe. His sound. I would absolutely love hearing news that they’re working together on something, especially if it’s in the vein of his Currents album or even his new album. This for some reason seems unlikely... but i’d love to hear the sound •SOHN who works with BANKS on some of her stuff. I feel like he’d do a really good job at mixing Lana’s vocals with trip hop beats, especially those high vocals

I don’t think he would have anything to do with this project. He’s too busy coming up with melodies for Lana to write to on her next album and working on two or three other projects as well. I really don’t think he’d have time to do anything with this (although it’d be cool if Rick would do some small instrumentals for the background...)Especially bc he’s mainly a producer and music mixer, there are audio teams who work on mastering and mixing solely audiobooks

This would be cool, i still dream of the demo version of NFR that she sang on live one time. Weirdly, when i sing the title track I usually change the second “your head in your hands as you color me blue” in the second chorus to “your head in your hands you think you’re Norman fuckin’ Rockwell too” bc it fits and i feel like it should’ve been the lyrics (even though there’s no proof that she ever had that lyric in mind ever hahaha)

this makes me think it’s being mastered. like the audio files themself are actually being cleaned up and taking longer to clean up. if it was just her reading her poems and shit, it could easily be recorded one day and released the next so give that she’s taking an extra MONTH. i wonder how she’s going to do it. is it going to be one long 30-40 minute track? will it be separated by poem/track? will there be backing noises/instruments or will it just simply be her reading them? will she have an introduction to the whole thing? inb4 it’s honeymoon hotline quality voicemail recordings.... -_-

Didn’t she say the proceeds for that song was going to a cause tho? Without putting it on an album she won’t have to separate proceeds for that track from album sales so I guess it’s her way of making it “easier” or cheaping out of you see it that way

I don’t agree with it but if you’re the leader of a country and you hear someone is threatening to kill your people, wouldn’t you take the person out as soon as you could? Not that it’s right to kill people based off of what you hear but if it was confirmed to be true, i would hope they’d protect me in the situation of me being American in Iran and some Iranian military leader is planning to kill me and bunch of other people based off of anti-American-ism. And i know the middle east has a tarnished view of America bc of our past with those countries but that doesn’t give a military leader the right to want to kill American people. That also doesn’t give Americans the right to kill randoms in their counties either, but if there’s threats being made, would you rather your people be killed in lieu of not listening to a threat or would you rather kill the military leader before he strikes so he can’t kill your people?

While all of y’all are complaining about it being “too simple” and “meaningless” I’m over here wondering when the NFR part was actually filmed. VB was a video combining the HIAB & Bartender parts a little bit. So we know it was filmed over a year ago Also, while you’re complaining, don’t forget that FIILY&TG video DOES exist and she can do high budget videos or small videos with her sister BECAUSE SHE SIMPLY WANTS TO. She doesn’t have to serve you anything on a silver platter lol and i get the criticisms, especially bc we’ve seen a lot of the footage. If this footage was all new to you all, would you think any differently about it? It isn’t meant to be criticized the same as a high budget mv. That’s not the point of the video at all lol that doesn’t dismiss your opinions that you’re allowed to have, but you’re not looking at it from more than one perspective. It’s a lot of the “ugh we fans deserve better ugh she needs to serve us what we want”

“Drove down to sunset in the truck, I’ll pick you up if you’re in town on the corner” as she stands next to her pickup truck. Pick up, truck. Interesting choice, makes me think she did the lyric “i’ll pick you up” as a small nod to what kind of truck from another song where she says “they don’t know what car i drive”

Omg someone start getting ready to put it to music. When it comes out, we need a team on this lol make her spoken word poetry into songs!! Especially considering she’d said in the video for this that she was writing some of the next album when she was doing her research and thinking about this idea and how this came to fruition. So WHF is most likely still a music album
