What if Lana redoes Tired Of Singing The Blues, I mean... kind of for this record (nobody kill me for saying this pls). The lyrics remind me of UV or NFR so far. “I’m smiling but I ain’t happy” and with those soft surf guitar sounds, I think it could fit the record if she redid the instrumental for it to sound more cohesive.

Guess we’re onto hoping for a spring record. I wouldn’t mind that but I’m losing hope for a specific “date” anytime soon

Well my entire iTunes library (which is over 100gb) is synced to a cloud so I can listen to anything I want anytime. I have a MacBook and other Apple products so they work seamlessly and they do just that. You can also get insurance on your phone so if it breaks you’re not out a thousand bucks. That’s not too hard to get from a phone provider. They usually have an insurance plan. I’d rather not get viruses in my phone like a computer but if that’s what you like, have your fun

Don’t get me wrong, Rick has produced some grrrrreeeeeeat stuff but when she switched it up and worked with Blake on some tracks and Dan it was like she was more inspired and it felt so fresh. I really hope that’s what this record is like yknow?

I just particularly hate that weird motorcycle revving it’s engine at the beginning of LFL or maybe it’s a car but I hate the vroom vroom part and mainly for me the backing vocals sound weird. The “dowa, dowa” or “shudda, shudda” parts. Or maybe she’s saying “shuddup, shuddup” it’s liek she’s trying to do the “duwap, duwap” thing from the 60s but the pace of the song doesn’t need any “duwaps” even tho it sounds like she’s not even saying it right and maybe that’s the production part of it That’s my main gripes about the title track of LFL. There’s probably other instrumentals or versions that sound TONS better than the released version. I’m just glad we’re getting a full record that’s produced by SOMEBODY else finally. How much more can Rick produce without running out of ideas?

I agree, everyone is allowed to critique. BUT theres a difference between having a negative opinion of something and just simply being rude and vile. There’s no need for that and it’s getting really old with every little thing she does. This isn’t for everyone who only wants to hear the music. You either really enjoy poetry or you don’t. Since you write, you know that and most of the time it’s a very niche thing. But there’s no need to voice such hate

I agree ^^ I was just about to say, which ones of you all who hate her poetry actually read poetry? Or even write poetry? A lot of you guys know absolutely nothing about poetry and you’re dismissing it as if it’s trash. Maybe this is a way for her to recreate something that feels more Ultraviolence-ey without her ever actually having to recite it. Maybe it’s really personal to her. Maybe it’s got a lot of meaning behind it that a lot of you aren’t even considering bc you “couldn’t read past the first stanza” Well there’s your problem. You’re judging a body of work without reading it fully. If you couldn’t read past the first stanza, stfu. This poem feels very Mariner’s Apartment Complex to me, it reminds me of that song a lot and I hate seeing people dog on a body of work when it’s nothing they’re even remotely familiar with, used to reading or judging at all. No it’s not worthy of an award but have you heard ANY of her music? My music first starts out as just simple poetry personally and I’m beginning to think she could write music that way too You’re allowed an opinion but holy FUUUUCK are you guys bitter and poisonous. No fuckin wonder she turns her comments off
