Lana Surpasses Beyonce In Monthly Spotify Fans
American Whore replied to Strangelove's topic in Lana Thoughts
Yeah, like Beyonce or any artist at these big arenas have to rent out the arena for a night/two nights. That's how it all works, as far as I'm aware. I know someone who works one or two of the venues in Colorado (wherever the money goes, she goes) so when shows get cancelled, they still end up having to pay for it and it becomes a huge loss. That's why a lot of artists don't want to cancel and put on a guise that it's because of the fans but in reality it's them or the label being put out of money (I'm not sure that the label does much for the tours, as much as the artist or their team does. I'm not 100% sure who exactly pays what but money exchanges hands for shows to happen at venues before shows happen. Maybe a security deposit sort of thing? Idk all of the details.) Its the most likely reason Lana hasn't toured since - it costs less to just... not lol -
Lana Surpasses Beyonce In Monthly Spotify Fans
American Whore replied to Strangelove's topic in Lana Thoughts
Not only this, but the bigger the stadium, the bigger the rent for the show. So then the tickets cost even more for the fans just to pay for the show's rent alone, along with the actual show itself. I'm sure Beyoncé has no problem making that money back but if you're doing numbers of $500k-$1m in arena tickets, the math changes in terms of who's making more for shows -

Lana Songs You’d Like To See In ‘Priscilla’
American Whore replied to love you madly's topic in Movies & Television
omg toward the end with some slow mo shots -
Hmm, not sure. According to Lanapedia about I Cant Fly, it's said that the song wasn't updated at all and was going to be released as the same version we already have from Big Eyes. And from what people have explained, I've never heard from Boz himself, but as I understand it, Boz has some sort of inside connection with the label or something - that's how he sees tracklists and hears albums ahead of time. Unless that was all rumors and not true at all. Idk.

Does anybody like every Lana song that she has released???
American Whore replied to MakingOut's topic in Lana Thoughts
I like pretty much anything she's made. I don't love everything she's made. Like some songs for me I definitely overplayed and think they're kind of cringe. Like some tracks on LFL. I hated UV when it first dropped and needed to listen to it a lot more and it's probably my favorite or second favorite album. AKA probably takes the cake for me, followed up closely by OB and Honeymoon. But I don't think Lana has ever put out something so bad that I've not wanted to listen to it. I think the only track like that for me is the god awful For Free cover on COCC. I even like Breaking Up Slowly a lot and I hated it when it first released. For me, I listen to Lana in phases. A lot of times I listen to BTD without listening to Paradise, or I'll listen to UV, HM, AKA, COCC, or Ocean Blvd randomly. Blue Banisters... I have a love/hate relationship with. I love a good portion of tracks on it and if I play it, i don't skip any tracks. I usually listen to Lana albums through and sometimes their instrumentals in the background just for fun when I'm doing work or something. I think Blue Banisters is Lana's weakest title track, but it doesn't make me dislike that album. I probably don't listen to LFL, NFR, or BB as much though because I played them a lot when they first dropped. Now they just exist and I play the on occasion. This is actually really funny, I looooove The Other Woman so it's interesting to hear someone else's opinion (and skipping it it fits the end of UV perfectly imo) -

I just saw the email - so yeah they did say limited but fucking hell, 4k? that's limited as fuck. i mean, i got my hands on one... so i'm happy with that, but there's still people who will want one and would order right now if it restocked -

i mean it's crazy bc i had to order from her uk store which is fine, but it's still annoying that the store doesn't really have a lot of stock on things like this. she's at a major label, the least they can do is have enough stock. but maybe this is just a test, so they'll re-release things again in the future with more stock allotted instead of just a small number. like this is RSD numbers. i understand if it's RSD or limited edition or something, but it doesn't say that so maybe it'll get restocked for those who didn't get it on this round -

There were probably more tracks scrapped before Zodiac. DNC sounds like it may be something referred to in Sweet - my theory is it might've been a demo version of Sweet where the title is Deep North Country ("In the sweet north country" the word sweet sounds like it could be replaced by deep.) I could be wrong here, but only time will tell once we hear demos someday. Waist Deep in Icy Waves could've been a scrapped track or a poem from Behind The Iron Gates that got lost when her laptop was stolen. I have a theory that's where it belongs and why nothing has come from it. Maybe it's a new poem she's writing for a new poetry book, possibly. it could also have been a scrapped track, but we don't really know how much actually exists outside of Zodiac without people like @BlackoutZone or someone with actual tea. (maybe @111?)

I feel totally opposite - OB feels like a complete package for me whereas LFL felt very random. But then again, I also love COCC except for the last track which I dont even have in my library bc it's really not much of a Lana song. I actually added SYTH to my OB playlist and the original Fingertips leaked version too. What I did was I replaced the interludes with the instrumental versions that leaked in the playlist and it makes just as much sense, if not more to me. I equate LFL with Blue Banisters but I feel like BB is a better Lana album than LFL
