Not sure if this has been pointed out already but I noticed that https://shoplanadelrey.com/ works again and I'm pretty sure it used to just automatically redirect to the LDR Village, but now its not doing that http://ww7.lanadelreystore.com/ on the other hand is gone for good I think lol someone else has the domain now but I am curious what they will do with the LDR Village...will they keep the Chemtrails theme or update it for the new album? They didn't do anything different with it for Blue Banisters probably because they didn't have enough time to but I would love to see it get a new look

But she did kind of commemorate the day she met Ben and Ed with the White Dress release

Yeah I'm pretty sure it did too If im remembering correctly I think it happened before the LMLYLAW release also, and they changed the whole website to promote that song so they could be doing that again with the lead single for this album

omg she looks so pretty and I love that dress and how sparkly it is! Anytime she wears sparkly things I remember that one interview where she said her favorite color is "anything sparkly" and honestly same lol

I agree, like she probably has a few songs that didn't make the cut for the current album, but she likes how they sounds or the vibe of them and uses them as a starting point for the direction of the next album. I think its interesting though because this time (if I'm remembering correctly what was said in W magazine lol) she didn't have any "leftovers" and thats why she turned to automatic writing. It makes me think she really is "starting over" and that Blue Banisters was the conclusion of what Born to Die started in a way

Its kinda true, although I wouldn't say its because they don't care about her, I think its really just because she herself doesn't care lol She still makes her label lots of money in her own way, and while it would be smart to use this opportunity to market her, release new music, and make more money, I think they just aren't because that's not Lana's style. She's never gonna rush release anything and she'll only put it out when it feels finished and ready. Its definitely frustrating though, because I would love to see them hyping her up more and get new music of course I think she would also love to go independent and be totally on her own schedule. Probably the only reason she doesn't is because her label gets her the producers she wants to work with

I can't wait to find out what the album title is Sometimes I try to imagine what it will be but they're never as good as what comes from Lana's brain lol Like even just recently with Norman Fucking Rockwell White Hot Forever Chemtrails Over the Country Club Rock Candy Sweet Blue Banisters They're so random but genius too lol I hope we get the next title really soon

His name is Paul Salem and I also found the original post about the Polaroids that @Elle made if anyone is interested lol He had reached out to her to share this exclusive news with Lanaboards that DNC was gonna be on merch or something to do with the album so we were definitely not crazy for believing it was...even if it no longer is

I'm still feeling good about the period of time between February and April for the album release And I still think there's a good chance Lana will at least mention something about the album, either a title or release date before the end of the year

Since its slow right now I thought I'd share a dream I had about Lana and the new album a few months ago So for the promo and release of Lana's new album, she opened a bunch of pop up shops all around the world showcasing her new jewelry collection that had ties to elements of the new album. I'm pretty sure all the stores were called "DNC by Del Rey" or something like that From what I remember, there was a Pepsi bottle cap necklace, and lots of sailboat jewelry that kind of looked like this: They also had "LDR" and some lyrics on them and everyone was rushing to the pop up shops to try and take a look at the lyrics. Unfortunately I don't remember what any of the lyrics were But I do remember that everyone was upset because Lana released a whole jewelry collection but didn't bring back the rosary necklace...which honestly is probably pretty realistic of what she would do if she ever did release a jewelry collection

I love these so much! I would be really happy if LDR9 had any of these aesthetics

I also decided to make a quick mood board I really like the idea of a darker aesthetic for this album and the "Honeymoon from Hell" idea I included some vintage looking letters and perfume bottles, some dark ocean aesthetics, pomegranates, and Neil's Orchid photo. I also really love these glam looks from Lana and I hope we get some more glam looks for the LDR9/X album cover and photoshoots I'm also feeling some dark, rich colors for this album, deep navy blues, rich burgundy and other jewel tones

As per your album timeline blogpost, I completely forgot about this exchange too: "A fan (velvetropic on Twitter? Can't remember) tweets that Lana said the next album is going to be even better as a reply to the fan's compliments on Blue Banisters when they exchanged a few words at the event. December 4." Its kinda crazy that this pretty much means that she had a lot of it done even by December 2021 Of course, I'm assuming some stuff changed from what the original tracklist/idea was but, according to what BOZ said (possibly calling it a masterpiece), she was right and the next album really is even better lol
