It kinda insinuates that you can be in the wrong place at the wrong time based on where the stars are aligning, the antithesis to what she said in Lucky Ones. The juxtaposition between Frank Sinatra's pretty much innocent song and a serial killer is so interesting to me, because you never really know someone's intentions and sometimes all you can do is blame the stars because there's no other real reason to evil behavior. 

 

It's also interesting that Lana plays around with the idea of moral corruptness & "God's Divine Plan," practically begging to be "purified" so she doesn't end up like a statistic, relating to the innocent women who had their legacy stolen and stories sold to shows like Forensic Files -- kinda giving a piece of their story back to them by namedropping them and their innocence in connection with dancing.

adding onto this, she covered it was a very good year live in 2011, so i definitely think it was an intentional reference

okay so i watched the music video for summer song and it's definitely inspired by lana but it wasn't that bad, i mean, so many artists nowadays are inspired by her and sometimes very obviously and egregiously so, but i like remy bond's execution, i don't know... there's just something about her i like, i've only heard two of her songs but there's something unique about them despite the obvious lana influence and the music video for summer song is very fun and i like her style and her take on the lana del rey-esque aesthetic, i feel like lana would like her, she seems to be very welcoming and supportive of other artists, i'll have to check out her other stuff

i'm gonna check out some of her other stuff to see if they're really just copies of lana/lizzy... benzo queen seemed obviously inspired by lana to me, but i mean, so many other alternative female artists are inspired by her or just straight-up rip her off to begin with

i mean, she did give us a release month  so we'll just have to see what happens

her song "benzo queen" came up in my discover weekly or something and i thought it was kind of interesting

honestly i believe you should vote for who you want, even if it's third-party, or even choose not to vote, i don't think there's anything wrong with it... but i can understand why that's bothersome because it could be considered a wasted vote, but it's you exercising your right however you choose... i honestly don't know what i'm going to do once it's time to vote, ideally i would want to not vote but i feel like i have to vote for biden, i'm a bit scared of project 2025

people really seem to hate ronald reagan and say that his presidency was the start of things getting worse, was he worse than trump?

has there been a president objectively worse than trump or biden? they've been saying it back and forth to one another multiple times, i mean, there's been a lot of presidents in the past few centuries... i'm sure some of them were duds

it's really not a fair election, he's clearly not well enough to run for president, let-alone serve as president for another 4 years

honestly why should it matter so much if his son was a criminal or what-not? (i don't know anything about him) hunter biden isn't running for president, joe biden is, presidents and presidential candidates can't necessarily control what their kids do, i don't see why it's that relevant honestly
