honestly the "jenny jumped into the pool, she was swimming with nikki lane" lyric is iconic at this point

i just listened to the three singles and they're still magnificent, wildflower wildfire is still a career highlight

it's a very cute album title but i don't think it really fits the vibe of the album, this album seems to be about telling her story in a cathartic & emotive way, i feel like "blue banisters" and the significance of that symbol in the title track work very well, and the album title has grown on me

the album tracks & their elements text book - water/air blue banisters - water wildflower wildfire - fire arcadia - earth/air thunder - earth cherry blossom - earth dealer - fire living legend - earth nectar of the gods - air

honestly i feel like "text book" flows very nicely after "for free", i definitely agree that this album could fit with cotcc thematically/sonically very nicely

i think musically, in general @Contemplating God i saw something about that earlier today, so... possibly?

a taylor swift feature would not send my wig flying so it's definitely not that

i guess you could say, lustforlife has more boyfriends than lana does albums

a typical day for lustforlife, i see

i feel like this is the kind of album/collection of music which is so beautiful & emotive that it will leave you feeling exhausted by the end of it, yet, in a way which is satisfying & rewarding? if that makes sense, like it's so emotionally rich & gorgeously crafted, that it's almost too much <3
