  1. i honestly really hope ldr8 is announced after cotcc is released because i love being a part of a pre-release era, i love the sense of community <3 it's going to be so fun to speculate what kind of album she'll be cooking up for the next era... will she finally create a proper hawaiian glam metal album? a psychedelic space rock album? an experimental grunge album? it's a mystery!
  2. g&r might just be my favorite track off of ultraviolence
  3. my holy trinity is... ldrakalg, honeymoon, &... maybe cotcc? i don't really have a holy trinity but i'm hopeful that cotcc will be a definitive favorite
  4. regardless of how you feel about nfr, she sure does cause a lot of conversation and we can't seem to stop bringing her up in this thread
  5. nfr was critically acclaimed because it was safe, plain & simple, that doesn't mean that it was a bad album, or a boring album, but it didn't feel as in-depth and nuanced as her previous work, it's obvious that she's maturing as an artist, which is great, but nfr didn't quite have the polarizing, in-depth feel that, let's say, honeymoon has, i'm feeling confident that cotcc will be more of an honest and impactful body of work like honeymoon, especially since she's expressed that she doesn't want to limit herself and her artistry
  6. if it's something that's real for her, she should be able to do it, i'm excited to hear her "folk" and "country" work because i honestly prefer a naturistic, organic sound instrumentally and she's not going to keep making the same kind of music she did back in 2011, and i think it's really sweet that she's inspired by the mid-west / south, it doesn't bother me, even if she's rich and she's from l.a, also, she's done "folk" before, with her work on "sirens" so it's not like it's something she's never done before
  7. i want to listen to the snippet and try to figure out what she's actually saying but it was taken off of youtube
  8. definitely! and i feel like nature is incredibly spiritual, there's something so artistic and inspiring about it, i get a "into dust" by mazzy star vibe from yosemite intuitively, or maybe "oh say can you see" demo, very simple yet impactful, you envision the grand canyon, or a starry night in a field, and you feel at one with the world around you, i think yosemite is going to be similar to that
  9. i'm hopeful about this album because it's inspired by the mid-west which is where i live, in a way, i feel like it's going to remind me of ldrakalg, which we all know is an album that i love and appreciate deeply, and i get a mid-west feel from queen of the gas station, oh say can you see, jump, etc. although i would also argue that ldrakalg has a broad and diverse sound and it could remind you of the ocean, a forest, the rural-south, and even a particular experience, such as driving alone at night, walking through the neighborhood, falling in love, or a psycedelic drug trip, and i wouldn't be surprised if cotcc has the same feel, lmlylaw is reminiscent of a snowy winter night, or a day at the beach, cotcc is reminiscent of a cool, summer morning, green grass, a peaceful, simple day-to-day life, but an underlying uncertainty, i intuitively feel like yosemite is going to end up being my favorite from this album because i feel like it's going to feel spiritual and it's going to be beyond a good, well-produced song, but it's also going to be something i can feel in my heart and my soul
  10. there's already such a psycedelic quality to this album... maybe not sonically... but thematically and intellectually... yosemite is going to be a special song, it's going to reflect a calm, peaceful state of mind, lounging in the desert with somebody you love, despite the heat and the dry terrain, you let it be something to experience and something to find the beauty in, a kind of love and peacefulness that can only be measured by something a little less practical and a little more spiritual, but you can't just define it, but you can feel it and create something beautiful out of it...
  11. little did we know lana del rey reworked white hot forever into a simlish bop for the next sims expansion pack
  12. whether that article is fake or not... we already know that cotcc is going to be phenomenal
  13. reworked psychedelic surf rock version of boom like that for the deluxe edition confirmed!
  14. you should stay that close to jesus... keep that bottle at your hand, my man...
