i really do raise my own expectations sometimes because i imagined the california video to be similar to her old homemade videos (ex. video games, carmen, million dollar man demo, etc.) or maybe something like the honeymoon video of her frolicking around in something pretty but i guess not. however, lana and chuck probably made it for fun while filming other videos, so it probably was never meant to be anything extravagent.

is it likely it's gonna be on spotify or yt perhaps? because... i don't have audible

imagine, lana bringing a new life to poetry and revamping such an underrated, yet unique, and beautiful art form. i haven't even been able to listen to this yet, besides l.a, but i already know it's great.

it's not officially released yet where i live and i want to listen to it so bad, just from reading the poems i'm already stunned, i'm sure this is a gorgeous album.

all of these poems sound amazing, i can't wait to hear them all the "stupid apartment complex" line is so funny to me.

i think it's likely considering the fact that "la who am i to love you" is on spotify currently.

i get that she's kinda gotten herself a bad rep after everything that went down in may, and also after dating a cop, but she's literally not a trump supporter/republican . she's literally put a hex on trump, let's not forget her iconic comment under kanye west's instagram. i mean, if she is dating sean again, then that's obviously going to be very suspect but i do not think she ever has, or ever will, actively support trump. i think the "she looks like a racist karen!!" comments are silly enough but saying she's a trumpster is flat out dumb, there really is no evidence to support that, but i am aware it's just stan twitter running their mouths.

i don't think it's in anyway that serious, all she's doing is getting her hair done and wearing a casual outfit. this isn't in anyway a statement about overspending, or taking any sort of stance against celebrity culture, she shouldn't be expected to look glammed up, ready for photoshoots and red carpet all of the time, she's allowed to hear a casual outfit and not wear makeup, and no, that does not make her a "karen". if you think her hair looks so bad to the point where you joke around about being traumatized, or if you think she's looking a certain way to project some sort of image, that's your problem, not hers.

i think you're missing the point, yes, she is allowed to date whoever she wants, she can do whatever she wants and no one can stop her from doing so. but people are allowed to have their opinions on what she does, this is a lana del rey fansite and discussion forum, and people are allowed to express their opinions here, and many people are upset about lana possibly dating sean because he is a police officer who works for a corrupt legal system, it makes her look careless and ignorant, especially now. if you have no issue with it, that's your opinion and you are entitled to it, but others are allowed to have their opinions as well.

am i the only one who thinks that the song she was playing really doesn't mean anything? she probably was just bopping to it and happened to have someone take a video of her dancing. i think if she wanted to get back at sean she would play a song that was a little more obvious and i don't think "stay high" is that obvious enough.

i honestly doubt that lana is still with sean when she has a song on her upcoming album that's likely about him titled "tulsa jesus freak", "jesus freak" is not a compliment. i want to stay optimistic, but yeah, lana being in the same car sean has is a little sketchy.

this tracklist is already shaping up to be her BEST. every song title is amazing and unique. it's really reminding me of blue ribbon sparkler trailer heaven, midnite dancer girlfriend, type of song titles. i'm so excited for this album.

well now we know that white hot forever is still a track on the album tulsa jesus freak? we really are back into the lizzy era with these ridiculous song titles and i'm LIVING.

this would be a dream come true!! i haven't even thought of all of this but it makes a lot of sense.

everyone in this thread has such amazing ideas and concepts, we really are raising our expectations aren't we?

i highly, highly doubt it. this is literally all songs that we know of, and i know we're doubtful of lana sometimes but she isn't that lousy. the only song on that list that is more unknown or elusive is "talking like an answering machine" yet we still know of it, because it's registered. but in all honesty the idea of lana teasing upcoming projects or straight up leaking information on dbree is honestly so iconic and she should actually do that.

the mermaid motel demo has a lot of surfy (i say that word too much on this forum) guitars/instrumentals, does anyone know what type of instrument or what type of guitar produces those sounds?
