We also all know that they were probably more interesting concept of songs than the alleged "Red Hot Chilly Peppers influences" we supposedly ended up having. Just saying. The way Lana describes her albums prior to their release never cease to amaze me. 

Oh I totally forgot about the "Red Hot Chili Peppers Influence"! I'm wondering what some of the early outtakes/demos from this album could possibly sound like. Didn't she record an album with a band prior to NFR? Her music process absolutely fascinates me and it's crazy knowing that she's recorded so much over time, I'd love to hear the demos from this era because I feel like these songs may be more emotionally effective and enriching with a different, more raw sound. 

But when it comes to LDR7, I really don't mind if she goes with a similar acoustic sound but I really want her to take her vision seriously and have confidence in her ability because she is totally capable of it. I want to have an album full of beautiful songs that show a maturity in her writing and approach, with better production and better panning. Also MVs that suit the song.

An album titled "White Hot Forever" should definitely have a psychedelic, grungy rock sound. Something in the same vein as Cruel World, Freak, Guns & Roses, Wayamaya. I'd hate this see this album be full of piano ballads, not that I dislike them or anything. I feel like NFR was a huge improvement from LFL and I want her to continue the momentum and reach out of her comfort zone.

I'm decently shocked and disgusted at Diet Mountain Dew being so low on this list! It's lower than Lucky Ones 

A little disappointed she didn't acknowledge it, but not surprised either. It truly is one of her most unique and greatest works and deserves love and recognition. 

Just imagine a Merten's produced Kill Kill with the Surf Noir inspired sound and grunge influence. I'd die. 

So when I imagine what Merten's AKA could sound like, I can imagine it having the rock/grunge sound throughout the album, similar to Brite Lites. But there's also a possibility that it has the Surf Noir Hawaiian sound of Trash Magic, Wayamaya, Mermaid Motel Demo. Either way I'm sure all of the tracks on Merten's AKA sound amazing.

I listened to the whole album earlier today, making sure I really listen to each track. Such a gorgeous album, every track is so diverse and special and I think that is what gives this record it's charm. Every song is different yet it still manages to be cohesive. I think David Kahne really brought out the best in her, and her vision. 

This is disappointing, I really wasn't surprised when I saw the tweet, hopefully in this time she can work more on her craft, and hopefully she'll work on maybe adding instrumentals and perfect the album into a unique work of art. But lately I've become skeptical if Lana would actually be willing to give it her all. If anything I'm just hoping she does her best work for LDR7. I'd say NFR was a huge improvement from LFL and I'd love to see her expand on NFR's laidback, acoustic sound but I wanna see her work with someone else. I try to see the positive side of any situation but I feel like Lana is really losing her touch. Let's just hope that Violet is a beautiful, cohesive project, and LDR7 expands on the momentum that NFR has. Sigh. Stream AKA and leak Serene Queen. I'm bored.

Happy 10th Birthday! This is my favorite Lana album and it means a lot to me. It's filled with nostalgic and beautiful songs and every track has a purpose. This album and honestly the Lizzy Grant era has always spoken to me the most. I'm so grateful we have this album, and that we also have a look into this time of her life and musical career, it's such a treasure to me <3 Happy Birthday AKA

I have a bad feeling that we're not going to hear any more word of this spoken word album and she's going to completely abandon/scrap it. I feel she's doing the same with the potential cover album, unless she's being very lowkey about it. I hate that she says that she's going to do something and never ends up doing it.
