Good news everyone, I’ve just wrapped my filming day for today and I’ll be home by 11 so I have an hour to prepare for the release (& the post-release thread of course!) I can’t believe the time is finally here. It feels surreal. I’ve also been awake for 37 straight hours and I’m a bit delirious, but I feel like that’s going to make my first real listen (aside from the listening party) even more intense in a good way. I’m so excited to share my real-time reactions with you all in the post-release & see all of yours! This is always my favourite day of the year when there’s a Lana release x

Awhile ago, Byron & Blake were seen soundchecking something for the James Corden show, which airs on CBS.. maybe a Lana live performance is coming soon? Xx

Lana Del Rey filmed a video for Candy Necklace directed by Rich Lee. He previously directed videos for her songs Love, Lust for Life, White Mustang, Fuck it I Love You/The Greatest, and Doin’ Time.

Oh also, per tradition, the post-release will launch at midnight EST! The new site visuals will arrive sometime later Friday afternoon x

Not me saying this and then not being able to fall asleep before having to work a ~12 hour day on set that I have to start getting ready for now Love that for me. Oh well, at least I have the excitement of getting to listen to the album at midnight to carry me through the day x

Well everyone, we’re in the final stretch.. just a little over 24 hours now until the album is released and we say goodbye to this monstrosity of a Pre-Release Thread and move on to the Post-Release! I couldn’t be more ecstatic that the day is finally arriving. I had my first listen of the record today at the listening event, and I’m so excited for my second listen. Off to sleep now - my last sleep before release time! Sending all my Lipsters lots of love upon this final midnight! x

I take it as a massive honour! I’ve also gotten recognised before at various concerts from LDR to other artists like Marina & Kali, and it always warms my heart when people come up to me to say hello. I’ve met quite a few people from the boards actually at such concerts! Lana truly attracts so many wonderful people to her fan community, and I always love meeting and making friends with them. Just wanted to say that I had the best time at my store’s listening party today. It was a wonderful way to spend my first listen. I met up with some of my ATL concert buddies, and also met some new people! I actually had quite a few people come up to me saying they recognised me from Instagram or LanaBoards & took pictures with me (felt like a local celebrity lol) I was also wearing her BTD cover outfit, which earned a lot of compliments lol. So many people were dressed up in Lana clothes & merch, and I saw two cute girls wearing the pink Target dress from the RS UK shoot! Lots of Ocean Blvd cover cosplays too. So adorable. The record was also incredible. I danced, I cried, I felt every emotion! After every song I was like, “this is my new favourite.” Every song floored me in different ways. I can’t wait to her the record again once it drops!! Xx

Now tell me why tf I just got this notification while my last played song is what the lyric is from.. Note I wasn’t actively listening to it when I got the notification bc I’m in the nail salon, but it was the last song I was listening to on my drive here. Not sure if I should be alarmed at the thought that maybe Cider’s tapping’s my phone, or impressed that Cider has a Lana stan employee lol x

Oh yes, I definitely was living on sheer willpower that day! I also did bring along some snacks, but didn’t have a full meal that day either except for breakfast. & even then I was so full of pre-show jitters that I’m pretty sure all I had before we got in was some watermelon & a Starbucks panini lol x

Nope! & I literally don’t know how I survived because I’m also someone who gets dehydrated very easily, so I had brought in I think like 6-8 water bottles and drank them all. I seriously didn’t have to pee until the SECOND I stepped foot back into my hotel room.. then I was dashing for that door lol. Still, I don’t think I could do it again as it was by stroke of miracle I survived that first one. I look back on that day and I think.. now how tf did I do that??? I also saw her at Music Midtown festival in 2014, which I took a casual approach to. It’s probably how I’ll do this festival if I end up going. MM is my local music festival, so I went with my best friend and we saw other sets at different stages that day and then got to Lana’s stage during the act before hers. Though we weren’t super close, it was still such a fun time. I also have bragging rights that I got to hear one of the four only performances of Money Power Glory with that one lol x

Last time, I got there before gates opened and was the first one in my security line to get into the festival and then I stood at Lana’s stage all day, but I definitely couldn’t do that again. Tbh I have no idea how I survived that, because it was standing in that one spot in front of her stage for 12 hours without leaving for anything. I think this time around I’ll show up later and just be in the crowd rather than going hard for a close spot lol x

Yes, and I’ll have to try to convince a friend to go with me too because I wouldn’t exactly want to go to a festival alone lol. But maybe I’ll see you there too if we both end up going

Now, this one I’m actually tempted to go to I have a feeling she’s just going to do a festival tour like she did in 2016 instead of touring solo for Honeymoon, and I went to her Lolla show that year. Chicago isn’t exactly close to me, but I really want to see her this year and if festivals are all she’s doing, then this might be my best bet. I got a single-day ticket last time, so I’ll wait it out until those release for this year x
