  1. Like as stupid as it sounds its prob lemonade. Lana's references lemonade in like 5 other songs

Yeah it sounds weird. But I guess golden tears ARE like lemonade. Bittersweet and a mixture of gold and water, right? Lol

  2. And it is probably in first-person rather than attributed to whichever singer she is referencing.

People are expecting a diss track, but I'm sure she's just telling a story about her struggle to make it in the industry.

Yeah true, I think 'fucked my way up to the top' is more like something the person is saying about her.

I did think it was Lorde when reading it tbh, but I don't think lana's going to actually say who it is. So it's probably just gonna be a general 'fuck you' to her haters and critics.

And you can't deny that Lorde was/is influenced by Lana yet denounces her whenever people say that they have similarities.

  3. That's a bit unsettling

Did she save all of her old myspace posts and still uses them for inspiration or what.... :ohno:

She probably does that thing where she posts stuff that she likes and still likes the same things in the future  :P

  4. Jim taught me that
    Loving him was never enough

We can go back to New York
Cause loving you was really hard

I don't hear Marilyn, it sounds really out of place. But I agree it's probs Comprende mis sueñas

  5. I kind of feel sorry for Barrie. I would be upset if my fiancée wrote songs about her ex lovers. The reason why she is still referring to her past might be that it was more dramatic than her recent life. She has a balanced life, so there is barely action.

Um, the song seems to sing about two people.. she refers to Jim in third person and in the past, but then she's speaking to someone in first in the present/future.

  6. He used to call me DN

    It stood for deadly nightshade

Cause I was filled with poison

But blessed with beauty and rage

Jim told me that he hit me and it felt like a kiss

    Jim brought me back

Reminded me of when we were kids

    [Chorus]

    This is ultraviolence

    Ultraviolence

    Ultraviolence

    Ultraviolence

    I can hear sirens, sirens

He hit me and it felt like a kiss

    I can hear violins, violins

Give me all of that ultraviolence

    [Verse 2]

He used to call me poison

    Cause I was poison ivy

I could have died right there

Cause Jim was right beside me

    Jim raised me up

He hurt me but it felt like true love

    Jim tied me up

    Loving him was ever enough

    [Chorus]

We can go back to New York

Cause loving him was really hard

We can go back to the start

Where they don't know who we are

    Heaven is on earth

I would do anything for you, babe

Guess it is meant to be

Crying tears of gold, like (?)

    [spoken]

I love you the first time

I love you the last time

Yo soy la princesa, comprende these late nights (?)

    Cause I'm your jazz singer

    And you're my cult leader

    I love you forever

    I really love you forever

    [Chorus]

I think it's tied me up to taught me that... such a shame  :poordat:

And Crying tears of gold, like Adam and Eve
