FROOT has soo much material like visual demos etc... there's a WEALTH of stuff she could use to make a banging anniversary edition but i doubt she will. but like.... even just using the original FROOT cover (the one not photoshopped of her in a bra with orange lighting) would be so cool

ive been listening to perverts and it's just good honestly! i get why some people might not be into it at first cause it's definitely not as accessible as preachers daughter (which IMO is as pop as it gets... despite what people might think) but it's a very good project. i wish she actually followed through with the initial concepts though? like have each song represent a perversion it would have been nice

no FROOT was definitely well received! Just not as well as EH and TFJ but it's not like people hated it. even the critics liked it i do think that, up until then, it was probably her weakest project because it's not sonically as varied and some songs just kinda "fade" into the background. but it's still a great record IMO. now having said that... i also believe shitting on the snippet is pointless. like just wait for the drop! it doesn't even sound THAT bad

youre making no sense... wtf? charli has been making music and flopping for over 10 years. why did the label choose to manufacture her success in 2024? the money machine behind the scenes must not have been working very well for pretty much the entirety of her career. "the aftermath will be the same for charli" charli si already one of the most decorated and critically acclaimed artists of her generation. she's successful, she's versatile, she's not going anywhere

she's not an industry plant but she was quite literally whored out by her mother who desperately tried to get her kids to become famous any way she could. she was lucky that billie is somewhat talented/likeable and that finneas is actually a good songwriter.. also billie is one of the best selling artists of her generation? id say she's good. and it's normal that success declines after a few years especially when you keep churning out the same shit over and over. billie's debut was in like 2017-2018? that's almost 8 years of global fame. for comparison katy perry's peak lasted about 7 years, from 2007 to 2014.

I’m not saying she is inauthentic, I think she’s extremely talented and it she wants to go back to her roots she can do that and abracadabra is perfectly fine as a song/video. I’m just saying it’s not as boundary breaking as TFM/BTW/Artpop were and that is what set them apart truly, not the fact that they were simply good (although they also were). Obviously again she doesn’t HAVE TO be boundary breaking it was just my two cents on it

I definitely think that’s part of the problem but my issue is with the music itself… even Chromatica felt like something “new” even though I didn’t like it. This feels like she’s rehashing her old stuff, and I don’t really care for it. It’s like if Lana started making BTD music again. i wish Gaga utilized her creativity to push the boundaries of pop music and of her own artistry again instead of just playing it safe

idk its not hitting for me. it just reads as insincere/disingenous the song is not bad but the fact that she opts in and out of "gaga" makes the whole thing look like a schtick. it doesn't feel like gaga it feels like someone cosplaying as her or at least cosplaying as her BTW days

i honestly wish she never erased that stuff from her discography and incorporated more of it in her Allie X stuff cause ALX was truly amazing IMO. Homebound, Jabberwocky, Mistake, etc.... like i understand wanting to move on from waiting for the prize (although its amazing), but the stuff she was making during ALX was so good and IMO soo marketable...

they all sound varying degrees of bad. there is not one ts version that holds up to the original recording I’m sorry??? Speak now is literally taylor’s vocal peak. her vocals during speak now were flawless and as strong as they will ever be. her voice has matured but not improved. in fact I think her matured voice live very rarely sounds decent. It only does for songs that were written specifically for it (like evermore)

BFY’s tracklist is the superior version regardless of whether it’s made up or not. like the idea that the album is a never ending loop of going to a party -> partying -> exiting the party -> going to the after party > exiting the after party -> going to the party is TEWW good and that it’s split between the more upbeat dance songs and the slower love songs? And it’s cut in the middle by taxi because you take a taxi to go home / wherever you need to? And when you’re in the taxi you think about the guy you like?
