Ok so... here's the tea Love + Fear is definitely her most accessible and easy-to-listen album to date, the lyrics are very simple and sound like a watered-down, witless version of a 2nd grade poem, the production is very polished and fresh, which is why the songs sound so good and fresh from the start (I have to admit it, they do sound appealing). I don't really like the melodies, they are too simple imo and a bit repetitive, especially bc this album is mainly sung in her upper register which I mean who told her exactly?? Like everybody praised her for her androgynous low register and here she goes: yeah fuck that? Ok sis... Anyway, it's a good album, but there's no artistic advancement and nothing remarkably Marina about it, it sounds just like the next boring talentless pop star could've made it (Ava teas). All the people praising her for it don't really care about her growth or her artistry (Charli could never) and are just greedy gays desperate to eat up any music that their fave will release. And yall have to courage to call us haters... imagine that. It's really telling that a lot of people brush off any kind of criticism towards Marina as hate. Like since when does that work? I love Marina and I am truly amazed by what she has been able to achieve in her career, she has a splendid voice and has managed three times in a row to come out with fresh, engaging, interesting, truly captivating bodie of work that have reshaped the pop industry. Take Kim, whose probably biggest inspiration, aside from rapists, was Electra Heart. Marina left a mark, and now it's fading away. M4 is not gonna be remembered. TFJ is, despite sounding like a crippled monkey has produced it. And that's the tea and if yall wanna go ahead and call me hater I'll be listening to Froot to drown out the angry gays

Maybe the idea of splitting up the story in 4 archetypes came later but EH was something she had been thinking about for over a year, she didn’t make it up on the spot upon finishing the album. It’s very different from this imo She also went through depression during those times (you can see it from songs such as Living Dead), like, it’s much more “heartfelt” (albeit far from being genuine) than this. EH era was a lot, both work-wise and health-wise, and to say it’s the same as this is just stating the false. There’s nothing wrong in not making a bigger picture (which is not the main issue imo), a lot of very good albums don’t have one, but EH and L+F are very different in that regard

i mean nobody has criticised the album campaign? i feel it's only been talked about positively... as for the themes, baby, ot, hh, ss and tbh are so different that it's hard to pinpoint a recurrent theme within the record. to me it doesn't feel consistent cause: the visuals aren't: all the covers are different and black and white is hardly a recurrent imagery, aside from the cover and promotional images that are basically alternative cuts of the cover (which imo is ugly but whatevs). the videos... are kinda all over the place? i mean they're not bad they just... are not consistent. imo. hh is... weird, ot looks like an ad for greek holidays and tbh a documentary on war? like... idk the production isn't: hh has a completely different vibe than eyl or eote the lyrics aren't like it doesn't feel like ot, baby, hh and eote belong on the same album. she could've let baby where it was with clean bandit, released ot as a separate single and idk advance hh production? like what's the point of having all these different sounding songs with different visuals and themes and lyrics... and to say they all feel like they belong together? on love? personally it doesn't feel genuine. that's why i have a hard time wrapping my head around the idea that she felt all these songs naturally flow together into a mini-record centred around love. it's not true. they don't. they are much more instagram ispirational than about love, imo. like EYL, OT, HH aren't about love. they are about... idk, influencer with flower crowns at coachella. not about love.

TFJ didn't have a concept but it had storytelling?? the family jewels is a play on word bc "family jewels" means balls in pretty much every romance language + a hint at the crown jewels + a hint at the fact that she speaks about her upbringing. it's a very clever title and paves the way for the main themes: family and smart puns (and like... the fact she's an overachiever but a title can only hold so much meaning.) EH was a concept all along, what are you even saying? back in 2011 she asked her label if she could record 2 projects at the same time, one based around a character she had invented (Electra Heart), and she even wanted to have a new stage name (Electra Heart herself) to release it, and one based around her distress about the whole fame thing. the label said no cos she was broke and she merged the two projects. Miss Y? anyone? I agree that EH was kind of a shitty project in terms of storytelling because there is none, but there's still good social commentary in some songs. also it has great visuals which make a wonderful job at carrying whatever concept there may have been (which, again, she barely scraped the surface) like while her past projects might not have been entirely thought out they were solid and coherent half of love is shit sonically, the visuals are nonexistent, the lyrics are bad and when they are good it's not very consistent like what are we talking about? if f+l was a bunch of songs uploaded to sc it'd still be bad. the problem is not that the concept is half assed, it's that everything is half-assed. nothing is consistent. NOTHING. the only thing that's consistent is the release schedule, which nobody asked for

uhm that wasn't the final version? it was a demo? also releasing it paves the road for the public to listen to it, since if it remains "leak" status literally at best 500 people are gonna listen to it. it's objectively one of the best songs she's recorded during the XCXWORLD era and the gp needs to hear it. so yeah bad take you're not excused

her album was shelved (she was probably not gonna release it anyway as it had been shelved for almost a year) and it got leaked online in like 128 or 256 kbps in full (apart from 2 songs), then a year later it was leaked in 320 + the promotional photoshoot and the cover

Honestly the sole fact that you purposefully chose these songs that do not represent the album as a whole makes me understand you don’t really have a point and are really grasping at straws... EH deals with depressioni (Living Dead), the socialisation of women (Sex Yeah) and much more... like in terms of themes it touches on a lot more subjects than M4
