If we consider that Sylvia Plath and HIADT are the same song, I wonder why she kept it 10 months as Sylvia Plath and then suddenly changed it a few days before release.

But I was talking about the songs they made together. And maybe she did some of the work. But Jack deserves credit too.

Don't wanna be a dick, but unlike her past records, Jack is actually the one coming with the melody... She even said herself that he was bringing her 5 chords melodies on piano and she was like "are you sure I can have this?"

I think Lana is really going back to her natural tone, like it was between her debuts (around 2006) and 2010. Then she started faking her voice, did that until 2016, and from 2016 to 2018, she was able to gain her natural voice again. Of course, her voice matured, she's not 18 anymore. However, she's really showing the real colors of her voice. She might not have the very high range anymore due to her smoking habits and the maturation of her voice, but she really bloomed. I've never loved her tone more than now. From all the songs on NFR so far, I get a Sirens tone vibe.

I want to listen to the snippet over and over but since we already know 7 songs out of possibly 11, I also want to keep the surprise...

I'm gonna be honest, I will be disappointed if she doesn't release something. I wasn't with the October single, because we got lots of snippets, and MAC and VB were still new, but now, she must do something.

Basically, everything is almost done with the album, except for the cover, and that's only because her manager wants her to do another one. And btw, I think we're staying with 11 songs. Also, I saw some of you saying that the songs we got weren't really introspective, and I only agree for MAC and VB. Cinnamon seems to be a song about being afraid to love and be loved because of a troubled and hard past, and depression. HIAB lyrics mix sadness and hope, but again, she talks about love and being afraid to be hurt again. Sylvia Plath is extremely sad. From the lyrics we got, I completely see why she told it was the saddest song she ever wrote. She talks about being under pressure and being treated like a dumb and fake girl. But she's not what people think she is. And maybe she's not perfect enough for some people, and that's why she ends up alone. That's what I personally get from the snippet.

What if the cover she wants to shoot is in a plane? This is the first thing that came in my mind when she talked about the cover on the Instagram live

I hope Sylvia Plath is the song she's maybe gonna release. Also, deep introspective shit? I'm here for it, especially in this period of my life.

Let's hope she releases Sylvia Plath the first Friday of January, the album pre-order the last Friday of January, then builds up the hype in February, and puts out a last track in March before the album gets released (Lol I first posted this in the LFL thread by mistake)

I really think MAC is gonna be the first track. It has a perfect opening instrumental, sets up the vibe of the record, and then gets us ready for what's next. Also the main reason why I don't see it anywhere else than first is because of the "are you ready for it?". It wouldn't make sense to have those lines later on the album, even on just the second track.

I can assure you that VB being 10 minutes, it gets less streams. But MAC is better anyway so I see no problem

MAC has 20M streams on Spotify! I think that's pretty cool considering she didn't even promote the song

Then I'm gonna be more realistic, the vocals are boring (and people call LFL vocals boring? Let me laugh), the lyrics are pretty basic, and Lana doesn't even sing half of the song.

Literally everything can top VB and y'all wouldn't like the song so much if it wasn't 10 minutes. It's a great song, it's a highlight in her career, it was audacious and it worked, but it's not exceptional.

Yeah but they also said it should be out pretty soon. It's been something like 3 weeks now I think? Honestly I think they just said SP would be the next single because it was the most recent Lana snippet. And March 29th has been on Wikipedia for so long so... But we never know what might happen of course

The fact that we didn't get Sylvia Plath yet is kinda "reassuring" because that can mean the Elle article's news were fake and the album is coming sooner than we think.
