It's quite a difference of semantics, between finding someone unattractive and finding them ugly. It is for me, at least - someone mentioned Adele earlier for example, I don't find her attractive but she is certainly not ugly. Can think of plenty of examples. (I guess we're discussing this because the topic is about how much looks influence the amount of people who like an artist's music/their level of fame?)

Amy wasn't an ugly girl by any standards - anyone who'd have paparazzi on their tail 24/7 (I found her house when I first visited London, paparazzi would literally be there all the time and that continued) and who'd have her kind of lifestyle would end up with a tonne of unattractive pictures. (before the Back to Black style and big hair, this chick still digs her!) I wish Monicker would stop biting his tongue, since as a chick my argument isn't too convincing still.

She looks fabulous, I've faced her for 30 seconds or so, she's the most beautiful person I've ever seen her make up is really flawless this time too. (And Barrie is hotter than I though almost eye-sexed him)

Actually, she became much more well-known with Back to Black after her look became skinnier, 60s-like and pretty iconic, which makes your point even worse than it is. I always found her very beautiful but that's personal I guess.

No, I don't think I will I mean, she's not going to be the only celebrity there so they probably make it pretty tough to stalk around and it's most likely we won't get to her (but I'm sure I'll probably see some lucky fan pics with her or something the next day ). If you live so close to the O2 you could try though... I might check out her hotel if she's at that one, it's Central so I can do something with someone around the area and hang around there a bit without being too weird

If someone knows her hotel or something, drop some hints have a free week ahead... (I suppose hanging by O2 is pointless, right?). I'd still feel weird as hell just stalking around.

Hmm, I don't believe it has to mean any of that. I'm just as bad (probably worse) when being the point of focus, but it has nothing to do with what I think about myself, but rather the situation itself completely intimidates me. Lana had some pretty hot moves in her old videos when it was just her and the webcam or whatever, so I don't think she's not pleased with herself necessary ... some people just aren't performers. I liked it! Simple, sort of sultry, good visual choices.

They should come on this forum if they want to write something interesting about Lana.

Well, you didn't really talk about Lana in this thread particularly, but rather about her fans and judging their authenticity/being annoyed there's more of us than you'd like. Thus the reactions. I'm sure if you just discuss her/songs/habits etc. like everyone else no one will harass you.

Well cause she's a jealous, jealous, jealous giiiirl She does sound pretty bitter though, but in a way I understand where it comes from (apart from the obvious). When Gaga became famous, she also started this trend of dressing as weird and loud as you can (as a pop singer) and of giving these huge, theatrical performances at awards show and whatnot. Since I don't believe any of those appealed to Lana, she probably felt like her chances got even more minimized.
