Really hope that is a BTS shot. Neil, pretty color tones, her bangs actually look good, it's outdoors.

I love some of the lyrics (bridge-end, particularly) and the chorus actually works much better in song than on paper, but she's really gotta start expanding from the "being in love with a bad boy" trope. Maybe it would work as a concept album with a storyline, but I'm really hoping it's just an intro track and she covers new topics throughout. She promised that the album would be surrealist and less "autobiographical and heavy" than her previous work. I will say that it's a much more nuanced portrayal of the bad boy vignette, however. "Dark blue" makes me think of bruises, there's self-deprecation, and I love the contrast of the two streets she mentions. The gun and fire metaphors are getting old.

The hair is back

It's one song and seems to be the intro for the album. Clearly, the album will be a mixture of slow jazzy songs and songs with a bit more energy. Lana is too smart to release an album of songs in the same tempo. Besides, the song clearly transitions in the last minute to a sound that is probably more reflective of the album's.

I'm guessing that Steven Klein is shooting the V Magazine cover, but a music video by him for one of the HM tracks would be so incredible.

She also said it was the first track like some of us predicted! Imagine how incredible of an experience it will be listening to the full album. She could just mean it's the first track released, but I choose to believe it's the opening track.

The forum is down for days and the only news we have to talk about is an IG post about Lana's stylist of three years and yet another selfie. Seems about right.

Agreed, and that is what I naively expected initially. I just mean that this Friday is the ideal release date now that they have blown other opportunities.

People (journalists and fans) make this way too complicated. She just combined her own personal demons and emotions with an aesthetic she loved and created a name that matched.

Friday would be the ideal time to release a single. There's nothing else out right now, it's the middle of summer, there's still high anticipation, and it's presumably two months before the album release. If it is prolonged any more, Interscope is making a mistake.

I actually really wish she would do this. I love her stories that carry from album to album.

To be fair, we did get an amazing album just last year. Lana's teasing does make it hard, though.
