It feels like a stream of consciousness to me. She first considers the fleeting happiness in her life that lessened upon finding fame and then expands to the greater degradation of American culture as a whole. It's a pretty brilliant song, lyrically.

But she said back in 2017 in the interview with Zane that BAR was about “Topanga” and the yin to the yang of Yosemite. It’s the original completed version, which makes me believe some of the lyrics of the demo will be included - because look at the White Mustang/BAR video. It matches a lot of the demo lyrics.

I’ve said this before, but I think the new lyrics would be kind of perfect if - and only if - the lyrics are the same as the old version in the second chorus, bridge, final chorus, and outro. It would be like a tale of romance and bliss that leads to resentment and bitterness - all over trying to write the next best American record. It would be cohesive with the NFR theme of artistry, ego, and authenticity as well.

If this album ends up being acclaimed/one of Lana’s best - which vinyl is going to be the best collectable? The blue with the uncensored cover?
