  1. 81 on MC is considered “universal acclaim.” It’s not comparable to a school grading system I’ve been around since 2012. UV era, critics were vile towards her personally but recognized the music was good and I just cited the receipts. Stay delusional.
  2. Of course BTD was dragged at first, mainly due to Lana’s perceived inauthenticity. But it is being recognized as a good album by critics - as of the late two or theee years. Do you recognize the word “retrospective?”
  3. Lol. UV has a 74 on metacritic, Honeymoon - 78. UV was on more year-end critic lists than most albums that year. Born to Die has received retrospective acclaim and is typically listed as one of the best albums of the decade. And saying VB is easily digestable and GP-friendly is delusional af
  4. All of the critical acclaim > LB members with flop taste
  5. I’m afraid of that. But she had to put her foot down with Ultraviolence, so why can’t she now?
  6. Those leaks didn’t come from here I’ve never seen unprofessionalosm quite like this. Insulting her fans?
  7. If she takes away the rock influence, I will actually unstan. Not here for LFL 2.0....Lana second-guessing an album and reworking it usually spells trouble. UV was the only exception.
  8. Not even in our dreams would she do something that clever.
  9. He’s really unprofessional. Fans have collectively spent millions on Lana, and he responds rudely when teenagers on IG ask for a release date for a project we were told would be out by now?
  10. Wow What is he talking about? Takes time to finish? She said it was done almost two months ago.
  11. “Top of the year.” Why do I continue to stan her She gave us LFL pre-order one week before the release date. There’s no rhyme or reason behind what she does, and that’s part of the reason her fans act so psychotic during each release cycle.
  12. The amount of replies Maybe this will earn us another “July 21st fam”
  13. It’s acrually gotten worse each time. I posted the timelines a few pages back.
  14. There’s just no reason to wait this long to release a finished album containing tracks released over five months ago. Not even to release it...to even give a date or info about it. It’s not her debut...it’s not expected to be a commercial smash. There just aren’t excuses for her and her team anymore.
  15. If something comes tomorrow, I will devote my life to spirituality
  16. MAC is so underrated on this board. The way it starts as a mid-90s Mazzy Star song and slowly grows into the psych guitar outro. The lyrics are great as well. The acclaim this era is very deserved.
  17. Her first three title tracks are relentless slayage and atmosphere, and then comes Lust for Life
  18. And they've always been either track 1 or 2 on the album. Born to Die - Track 1 (released Dec 30 - album Jan 27) UV - Track 2 (released Jun 4 - album Jun 13) Honeymoon - Track 1 (released Jul 14 - album Sep 18) LFL - Track 2 (released Apr 19 - album Jul 21) --- Also, to compare eras: Wait between first song release - album Born to Die (3 months, 20 days from VG single release but just under 7 months after VG was put on Youtube) Paradise (1 month, 19 days) Ultraviolence (2 months) Honeymoon (2 months, 4 days) Lust for Life (5 months, 3 days) NFR (5 months, 8 days and counting)
  19. I would be pissed that she wasted the video on White Mustank, though. It could have been so iconic with BAR.
  20. I liked the concept of this era having long, ridiculous titles as a play on the “pretentious artist” theme from the title track, but that’s sort of nullified by Lust for Life having similarly ridiculous titles.
