  1. Because we have nothing else to do. I keep imagining a textless, borderless shot of Lana in front of an LA landscape or cityscape. Very 90s and simple but soft and pretty as well. Examples coming @@honey dew posted this in the other thread and I adore it
  2. Why won't my new thread post? Is there an image limit? I tried spoiler tags and it's still not working...saying there's a database error.
  3. Can we start a NFR album cover concept thread out of boredom
  4. Remember the instantly iconic UV trailer we got three weeks before the album? Why do I feel like the HiaB Instagram snippet was our trailer this era
  5. Maybe the track list looks something like: 1. In Your Car (continuation of Get Free) 2. Happiness is a Butterfly 3. HIADTFAWLMTH - BIHI 4. -mid tempo track- 5. How to Disappear 6. Cinnamon 7. Venice Bitch 8. NFR 9-12 guitar driven or folksy stuff 13. Mariners Apartment Complex Edit: what if In Your Car is actually the title track? She feels like a “star” for a fleeting moment in his car, but she’s living in the shadow of his ego. My mind.
  6. I just remembered Jack said that Alphabet Soup was one of the first two tracks they recorded, and both were accompanied only by piano. I bet the other was Happiness is a Butterfly Psychedelic rock album uncanceled Edit: here’s the tweet https://mobile.twitter.com/jackantonoff/status/1083508601409454080
  7. Eh, not really. Botox is like the easy, quick fix but comes with a more long-term drawbacks. The best route is a solid collagen-implementing daily skin care routine.Weekly exfoliation, a good toner, peptides, a serum with high concentrations of vitamins A, C, E, moisturizer with spf, and a good eye gel. Plus lots of water. Slow and steady is the way to go with skin care. And if you’re a male, you’ll want to stay away from Botox in most cases. It feminizes the brow, and takes away the furrowed look that many find attractive in mid-20s+ men.
  8. I still can’t decide if it’s actually “and I got to thinking. Yeah, I thought.” Sometimes Lana’s pronunciation makes it deceiving.
  9. Remember in September when Lana told us NFR would be out at the top of the year, and now it’s mid-Feb and we have no cover, track list, release date.
  10. I miss her 2012-2014 face. I hate that she feels the need to get this Botox.
  11. So, you think Cinnamon is 2:00? It’s Lana...20:00 is more realistic
  12. How this bussy quakes at the thought of Cinnamon in full
  13. For real. I need it to be a concept album about a relationship with a self-absorbed male artist slash a reflection on the male ego. And I need for it to tell a story from beginning to end a la Lou Reed’s Berlin
  14. I will riot if she included those country songs. They’re cute, but they wouldn’t fit the record. I’m not here for another LFL - potentially cohesive album turned into hodgepodge of ideas/genres
  15. Best album scenario would be it’s 90% psychedelia and/or guitar-driven with the exception of the piano ballad, Alphabet Soup, and How to Disappear, which gives me Amy Winehouse vibes. I still hope Happiness is a Butterfly becomes a psychedelic rock song
  16. Ugh. Remember how good Lust for Life/BAR was before she went back to the studio a few times?
  17. This post gives me flashbacks to the wait for HM when we would be live-streaming live shows on periscope waiting for word about the new album, and she would say absolutely nothing.
  18. UV era was so iconic - looking back. She still looked so glamorous with her 70s long hair and long nails. She’s obviously still beautiful, but I miss the effort she used to put into her visuals each era. And the music videos minus UV were some of my faves. The live festival performances were hypnotic as hell, lots of great photo shoots, tons of interviews. Yet we complained the entire time
  19. Listening to UV instrumentals on the way to work is an experience. So ready for its sister album (hopefully) —- Also, why did no critics understand at the time that Sad Girl was sarcastic af And she said “sad” as in “pathetic” like playing with cliches about “the other woman” and media talk about herself as an artist.
  20. Duo Lingo won two Grammys. I don’t understand this world.
