  1. The way she hides her IG posts for no apparent reason is so rebatably psychotic.
  2. Venice Bitch is honestly top three of Lana’s released songs. She really did that.
  3. Same. Just wish it had been shortened, but I’m also appreciative of her sense of humor.
  4. Okay, I’m down for that being the album aesthetic.
  5. Imagine not realizing Change is one long corny mess
  6. This era can stay messy as hell as long as the songs stay being this incredible. I feel bad for complaining since these three songs were just teasers given to us. We’re usually complaining that she keeps us in the dark and rarely teases any songs before album releases.
  7. Yes, and per Lana’s team. So, definitely on the album Riot cancelled
  8. https://amp.www.complex.com/music/2019/01/lana-del-rey-drops-new-song-hope-is-a-dangerous-thing-for-a-woman-like-me-to-have-but-i-have-it This says the press release also calls MAC and VB “fan singles” and says that only the country songs from that live show aren’t expected to be on the album
  9. Yeah, I don’t think anyone saw this as a single. I don’t like that the album says VB and MAC “might” be included. I will not entertain any thought of those being left off.
  10. Some articles are calling this Lana at her best. The acclaim this era phew It really is a gorgeous song, and it contains some of her best, most personal lyrics
  11. Depression is often called “the black dog.” It’s a common metaphor. Like a dark shadow that follows you and keeps you lost in your own head.

  13. I love the “church romances, stage love, ‘hi dad’” verse. Feels so personal.
  14. Oh, duh. Black narcissist - the devil off her back
  15. I’d say the same if it weren’t for “black narcissist,” but maybe she’ll explain that she’s talking about herself or her depression
  16. Some of these lyrics are so damn good...and the emotion in her voice. Whew Jack and Elizabeth snapped again.
  17. I actually think the iPad line is kind of heartbreaking in context.
  18. Phew, this is stunning. Some gorgeous lyrics and introspection. The Change we deserved. I need an explanation for the “black narcissist” lyric, however
  19. Does she really say “black narcissist?” I love the rest, but...
