That song is clearly about to burst into electric guitar or something, so not sure why everyone is complaining about it being a ballad. Also, I’m making a petition for Lana to use her upper register again

I’m so curious if HtD will be the typical Jack piano ballad or if will expand in production It could benefit from a little Happy Birthday, Johnny/Untouchable 5/YTH newest version desert guitars. Nothing bombastic...just some subtle background production.

I didn’t want Change-esque songs either, but this has 1000x better melodies and lyrics. I’m sure the production will expand as well.

They’re probably just basing that on the Zane interview in which she said she wasn’t sure if she was putting out the October song or not because it was more of a standalone track.

They should submit both songs for Best Rock Song. She’s not getting nominated either way, but that would be smarter than going pop. They would never vote for those songs.

I just hope for a UV-esque booklet in terms of images and lyric snippets. Hopefully Neil or a new artist do the majority of the work. I’m down for 90s indie rock, simple visuals like the supposed cover. Soft browns, lots of blue. Pictures of desert highways and LA industrial sites.
