Yes, she says she loves the album, but she talks about Lana and her lyrics as if she’s some campy, unintentional joke. Why is it so improbable for some people that a woman can be sardonic and purposefully humorous with her lyrics. And I think some of the more serious tracks like Heroin, Get Free, or 13 Beaches contain beautiful lyrics. Now, Change’s corny lyrics are the exception here.

I've been appreciating this album more recently. But like I said in the other thread...Imagine if LFL had been edited some with this tracklist: Roses Bloom for You Best American Record 13 Beaches Love Cherry God Bless America WTWWAWWKD Beautiful People Tomorrow Never Came Heroin Get Free What a classic (but I am starting to like LFL song again). I just think the album should have been all hip-hop/electronica driven or completely like the second half. It didn't work as well as a full project, and there is no excuse for songs like Coachella to have been included.

Alphabet Soup is a perfect album track and contains some of her best lyrics. I don't really understand putting it out as a pre-album track, though.

My expectations for the cover are out of this world. I need something like the Mazzy Star pics I posted or the Gucci edits. No border, no text. Moody and glamorous yet simple to match the music. But we will get an ugly Chuck photo with huge text and an unnecessary border.

A reworked BAR would be everything, but she doesn’t reuse leaked tracks on standard editions.

That fanmade cover is so Lynchian and mystic LA, ugh. Would have been perfect for Honeymoon.

Also, I liked the album being 11 tracks. Shorter albums typically feel so cohesive.

Maybe Venice Bitch really is a transitional song in the middle of the record. Like, the album shifts from piano-driven to psych rock when the song does at the 2:00 mark.

The In Your Car intro reminds me of Anthems of a Seventeen-Year-Old Girl Also, I love that she talks about being the guy’s baby in the backseat IYC, but then talks about crying in the backseat in HISB. I appreciate little things like that.

What’s the appeal of Eyelash? She’s like Melanie Martinez, but with two or three great songs
