  1. Yeah, the UV titles were so cringeworthy on paper, but they ended up being great songs. The Honeymoon ones all seem pretty great...aside from Art Deco and the potentially obvious Religion.
  2. Born to Die is her worst LP (but still great). Paradise is pretty mediocre. Ultraviolence is a good video for what it is. Her slower songs > fast ones.
  3. I actually thought she had improved her lower range. There's much more vibrato and the notes feel stronger now. I love Blue Jeans, but I always thought the vocals were lacking.
  4. Honeymoon (song) is absolutely gorgeous. I don't think there's anything odd about thinking that. What I find strange is people thinking HBTB is one of her best songs.
  5. I'm so intrigued by how this will be received critically. The singles have all been acclaimed thus far, but there are always the same publications that review her persona rather than the music. I'm also not sure I agree that this is a throwback to BTD. The "trap" songs seem like they're actually going chillwave rather than the trip hop with strings of BTD. The jazzier songs are even slower than UV songs as well. I love that she continues to change up her sound with each LP.
  6. I think the sales may be worse than UV tbh. I suspect there will be an early leak like with Rebel Heart, FROOT, HBHBHB. Depression Cherry, etc.
  7. I'm cringing at the possibility of the MTWBT, Art Deco, Religion titles being mentioned in their respective songs.
  8. Life is Beautiful is probably just an old song she reworked for the film promotion. Dan worked on the score for it and probably asked her to use it. It probably never had anything to do with HM.
  9. I think most people here are going to be really disappointed with MTWBT. It's probably slower and jazzy a la Music to Watch Girls By.
  10. That's not even the correct length. They just re-titled another song and gave it the album cover.
  11. I'm surprised to see critics preferring the original album cover. http://uproxx.com/music/2015/08/lana-del-rey-terrence-loves-you-honeymoon-artwork/
  12. This album is so incredible thus far. A mixture of jazzy, baroque songs and gritty trap-influenced ones. Themes of celebrity, male gaze, self-realization, lost love. Plus throwbacks to her unreleased songs. I also love the visual idea of a map to the stars that lets us into Lana's life. The cover feels much more appropriate when you consider the rest of the images and these themes. It actually looks pretty good in the UO crop they put up on IG: https://instagram.com/p/6qQCoqMdBL/
  13. Ride was incredible, but a lot of that EP was pretty mediocre by her standards.
  14. It's kind of a basic song, but Lana's voice sounds so great.
  15. I'm starting to feel better about the cover after seeing the box set. It seems like a pretty great concept...Lana giving us a tour of her life and exploring the themes of celebrity and the male gaze.
  16. So, it's coming out on VEVO in about 12 hours, but shouldn't it be up on iTunes in about 9?
  17. Thank god that cover art isn't real. And I hope the pre-order is up at midnight EST.
