Releasing Riverside would give Barrie a quite big amount of money considering the fact that a lot of Lana's fans will buy it. So why wouldn't he or his label want to release it? It doesn't make sense. And regarding the DM he replies to a lot of messages but imagine how many people were asking for Riverside surely he would be annoyed at some point. Anyway the thing is we propably won't listen to this song. I was looking forward to it since their voices make a great match and i liked the teaser.

Barrie said a few days ago on Periscope that he wants to release Riverside but the record label won't let him. Actually he responded yesterday to someone who called him a faggot and a liar for not releasing Riverside. He said that he never said he will release the song for Lana's birthday and that someone faked that photo with the screenshot.

What songs are these? Did they leak anywhere?

Probably they are jamming studio recordings because Lana wasn't there. I can't find a purpose on rehearsing all those songs if they are not going to perform them. Also this tour is random too. It's not to promote Ultraviolence nor Honeymoon so she can't continue with the same songs all over again. And fans have been asking for those unreleased. I really hope that setlist is true! Serial killer, Off to the Races and Brooklyn Baby omg!! Too bad for us Europeans we will see these songs only on YouTube

In the interview we did together he told us that the songs were written in winter so probably all the album talks about Lana or at least is inspired by her. When he said that Chivalry is about a girl from Glasgow i thought it may be about her (since she has roots from there. Or i am just too into conspiracy theories ) . Since it is his first solo album it makes sense to release an EP to get people to know him before the full album. He said he wrote these songs recently and he liked them more so maybe it is what you say. Also since a lot of Lana fans are spaming him everyday about Riverside maybe he just wanted to release more stuff so they will have a chanse to know him as Nightmare Boy and not as just Lana's ex. (i don't think he cares that much tbh but it is a possibility) Maybe Riverside will be on the short film. When he announced he is filming it he said he will play songs from the album (and the only album known then was the one with Riverside in the tracklist) Anyway, so far everything he announced came in time so i don't believe he just teased Riverside knowing he will never release it. He teased it being in the studio mixing his album. We will just have to be patient.

Why everything Barrie does has to have a meaning regardless Lana? They broke up months ago. They both continued their lifes. And from the latest photos etc Barrie seems to get along with many people. Not all of his songs are about Lana. And why would he release an EP named Hate to tell Lana he hates her? He never said anything bad about her. He didn't block any of the fans who keep asking about Lana. Why now? (Chivalry must be the same. He said before that it was his favorite track from the album so)

Barrie announced a new track-list for his EP 'Hate' coming late this month. Riverside is not included. We had a little chat today i asked him if the other album is cancelled. He said it isn't cancelled he just liked the new songs more so he will release them first instead of the first track-list he announced. So i guess we won't hear Riverside soon. (The new HATE EP is produced by Manny Neito who was taught by Steve Albini (producer of Nirvana's 'In Utero'). He wanted to work with old recording machines. It is heavier than his previous songs. Sort of grunge and country too.)

He told us he is about to finish the short film which is about 30 minutes long and it's like a live performance film "but in a surreal eerie Donnie darko way" (his exact words) with additional compositions. It is expected in April. Also he liked the new songs more so he will release them first instead of the first track-list he announced. I was watching some old videos of Kassidy and there is one video of them recording a demo and you can hear at the end of the video a woman'c voice saying 'Yeaah' and i am 99% it's Lana. So if it's Lana this is a video she recorded.

Barrie has answered to some fans on a recent instagram post. Here is the sum up of what he said (plus some more like his fave food, song etc): 1.His debut album will be released in March/April. He is already working on his second album. 2.He will play in Glasgow this summer. 3.Riverside was recorded over 2 years ago. 4.He wanted to cover 'Some Velvet Morning' but Lana's producer thought that had been done to many times. You are right about the fact that he didn't mention Lana in our interview but on his official website (not facebook) it says ft. Lana Del Rey at the track list. Maybe he didn't mention Lana to avoid all the fangirls going crazy again on him? It's also only one songsong, she didn't really contributed for the almbum. Who knows. I just hope it won't turn out to be like Brooklyn Baby

Do you think he would release a song feat. Lana without Lana's permission? Besides Barrie's album was recorded after the break up. Let's wait and see (listen) what this collab will be. I hope it won't turn out to be like Brooklyn Baby You shouldn't judge only by 1 song. Wait for the whole album to get out
