I think the long release window helped the album to come out closer to the tour. It’s risky, but I hope she announces a quick little tour at the end of this year with the album as I could see her doing the Aus festival rounds early 2022 then into US/Europe for the summer.

Who else is coming? The Weeknd this week, Kim at some point? I hope the album is out weeks before Taylor’s re release.

I’m ready for a flood of Charli releases. We’ve not had a feature for months.

Apparently this was supposed to be out in August. I wonder why they pushed it.

I cannot believe she got to announce it. No leaks of title, cover or date. Hopefully the album will follow within the next 3 weeks and not have a big wait like Charli did.

We have a snippet of a new song called 2hot which people thought might be the same song.

I do love this set list. I wonder if she’s aiming for an October release, we know that during Charli she did a show in London on Halloween. It could have been the start of something.

I guess it can be read that she had a 5 album deal and it’s ending, but maybe they want more? Or after this album she has signed for 5 more? I don’t know what they’re classing as albums, TR, Sucker, N1A, Pop2, Charli and HIFN then whatever she’s working on. We know Charli thinks of N1A and Pop2 as albums although they were put out as mixtapes. Who knows. We think/know something is coming soon?

Looks like Charli signed a new deal. I guess we can assume she’s staying with the same label?

Charli is performing tonight at Splendour XR. It’s a ticketed online festival.

If she’s recording other writers demos then I imagine it will end up being more mainstream. Hopefully it’s people like Tove, Alma, Ava, Noonie songs she’s recording. I can’t lie, I can’t stand Pink Diamond as a Charli stan. There is no way the GP would even consider it.

No good talking about it. We’ll end up in an XCXWorld situation again, who knows if people already have some of the tracks.

In my opinion an artist is an artist. If you present the package, I don’t care how it got there. I don’t care who wrote the song or who produced it. Who shot the video, who designed it. As long as you’re singing it. Charli is such a collaborator, think about the XCXWorld, a lot of that design seemed to come from AG. Charli is creative and capable, if someone has a different idea that’s really good, I’m all for it. Art is all about give and take.

We need a Superlove, Boys or Summer Singles moment. Something that won’t be on the album but something for the summer for us to enjoy. I thought we might get something in 2 weeks time with the online show, but if there isn’t a album or the concept is still being developed then I’m thinking it will be months until we get a new song.

I love how all of us so far hadn’t heard that snippet and it sounds so good.

I thought initially it stalled the era as it didn’t take off like most 1975 songs do but I don’t think so we know she has sessions booked for more recording.

I wonder if Rita has added something to the bridge.

It was a similar set list for Charli’s pride performance tonight as the festival setlist in 2019 just with 3 songs from HIFN added. No new songs. Maybe we’ll get something during the streaming concert.

I’m not such a big Tinashe or Iggy fan anymore, but indie really works for them. Look at how N1A/Pop 2/HIFN were rolled out almost perfectly (I think there was a short delay with N1A?) Then look at what happened with Sucker/XCX World delays. The Charli album roll out was long due to it not being planned, wasn’t it nearly a year after 1999 was released? Charli wants music out quickly and we want that too. I think we’ll get an album this year, but not as soon as we were expecting. It felt like an era was starting a few months ago with Spinning, Drama, Charger and XCXOPLEX

I’ve never watched untucked before, maybe I’ll have to. I just finished watching Alone Together. What a treat. I loved how it opened from the Charli era and ended with Charli thinking what’s next.

My biggest worry is letting Charli speak. They don’t give guest judges much airtime except for Miley, Gaga and Nicki. I’m sure Charli would have plenty to say.

I just purchased it, the documentary is only £5 and it streams from 6th June. There’s a cinema option too, I would have gone to see it at the cinema but I’m on holiday at the time
