people on twitter and even my friends keep saying believe in love sounds like a taylor song .... i don’t hear it. someone explain the correlation

the album isn’t bad but someone said here there’s nothing interesting about the songs. her older songs feel lyric-rich and purposeful and a lot of the songs here are not that. love marina though and i will be going to see her on tour still

i’m so sorry but this album has no personality it’s so hard to get through in full. it just sucks cause she obviously is evolving as an artist but TFJ and EH were full of personality and energy. and the most personality we get from her in this is “oh my god i think it’s karma” ......... not feeling her

i hope we get a new sound from her with these new songs. like the singles era all have such a distinct sound and they all fit together and TOTL too. i just hope she can expand on that especially since the aesthetics are already different too
