I just saw this on twitter!

I can't believe Marina hasn't gotten that much recognition yet tbh. She's so good, I love her! She writes her own stuff, she's great at it, her voice is pretty strong and she's pretty. She should be huge, but noooo.

Things like this seriously piss me off. And apparently a lot of the people who would finger her were girls, cause they thought it was "cool". What the actual fuck? I can't deal with people like this, I get so angry I could slap them. And I'm generally very opposed to violence as a solution. There are so many fucked up and stupid people in this world...

A few days ago I saw an article about Sky Ferriera (is that how it's spelled?) saying she has to wear two pairs of underwear and jeans at her concerts, because her fans try to finger her. Wtf is wrong with people?!

Hey, at least she wears underwear. (I'm looking at you Paris) But seriously, a lot of singers wear this cotton shorts on stage underneath dresses on stage to cover up. I guess those lacy ones are her version of that. They're cuter though, that's for sure.

Why do journalists feel the need to shorten down songtitles like that? "Coast", "Summertime" and "Young", really? I get it with songs with long titles, I tend to do that too when I talk about them, but I don't see the point of shortening a name like "West Coast". It's so annoying, haha.

She's so freaking adorable!

The latest big singles have been very oriented towards the general public. It's good that she gets attention, I guess, but if State Of Grace for example was a single I think a lot of different people would open up to her and give her a chance. The lyrics can be cheesy, but there truly are a lot of great ones too. ATW is packed with them, same with the two you mentioned. I hope she goes for a 50s/60s vibe on the 5th album tbh, I think it would really work. And Come Back... Be Here!

I think she's fantastic, haha! But yeah, it's Taylor Swift. Don't be put of by that though. Her best songs are rarely singles, there are so many hidden gems on the albums. I recommend All Too Well, Treacherous, State Of Grace, The Lucky One, Eyes Open, Safe & Sound, Never Grow Up, Last Kiss, You're Not Sorry, Breathe, White Horse and Cold As You to start with. They're some of the songs I think have the strongest lyrics/emotions! I recently discovered Lana's unreleased songs (joining this forum was a GREAT idea), so that's what keeps me going. All my faves are releasing/rumored to be releasing albums this year so I've been starved of new music, haha.

Swifties, so many Swifties! Haha. I think All Too Well, Treacherous, State Of Grace and The Lucky One are the best songs off of RED tbh.

What about promo singles? Some artists release promo singles leading up to the album. My fave released one song a week for four weeks before her 4th album was released, same with her 3rd. It's quite smart really, it gets the hype up and gives the fans a taste for the feel of the album. And it certainly didn't hurt her album sales!

This is kinda a big question but yeah. Exactly how does Lana's genres work? From what I've understood there are three of them: Hollywood Sadcore, Surf Noir and Hawaiian Metal Glam. How do I know which song, especially unreleased, goes into which genre? I was thinking of a way to organize the unreleased songsI have (I have most, just not the most recent ones) and I figured it might be a good way to do it, but I honestly have no idea where to start, haha. Obviously I'm new here, haha

Loving it more and more with every listen omg

I like the sound of the song, and Lana's vocals. I'm not a huge fan of the verses, the lyrics are quite weak and very repetitive, but the chorus is sooo good. I think I'll appreciate West Coast more when listening to it on my headphones than on speakers. I don't know, I'm weird like that.

I think judging the song already is premature. I mean, we won't really know what it is like until we hear the studio version. I'm excited though!

I'd love to see a Lana/Taylor Swift collab. I think the two of them could make the perfect, haunting, sad love song. I can see Haunted meets Dark Paradise or something along those lines. (Please don't kill me!) (Read the lyrics to State Of Grace, All Too Well and Eyes Open first if you intend to kill me.)
