    To expand your Lana knowledge: "What's the title of the track Lana Delray composed for the Jaguar Fkipe launching?" (I don't know how to spell fkipe): the answer is: Burnng deseire.

     

    Ok she knows nothing about Lana. She never heard one of her song and never asked me to play one, even though she knows I'm a big fan. I bet she heard that question on a Sunday morning cheezy TV show with some random quizzes and promotion of useless but funky garlic peelers and I was right.

     

    Just the fact that my 59 year old mom paused her program, took her iPhone, opened the Facebook app and typed this message the best she could with her broken English and lack of internet skills is absolutely adorable <3

    This makes me laugh... Because I hate when people do that to me, but I do it all the time  :toofunny:

     

    Giorgio Moroder has revealed that there is still time for Lana Del Rey to feature on his forthcoming new album.

     

    The legendary producer admitted that he has spoken to the US singer a few times after teasing the possibility of a collaboration last year, but they have yet to work on something properly together.

     

    "I was talking several times with Lana Del Rey, who I love - and by the way, she loves my son! He's 25 and a handsome guy, but he's already taken, I told her," (LOL!) said Moroder when asked about the prospect of a collaboration by Digital Spy during a press call on Friday (January 23).

    "She continues to say, 'Yeah, let's do it'. She gave me about eight songs which she wrote and ended up using for Ultraviolence.

     

    "But then recently in an interview said, 'One of my good friends is Giorgio and I want him to do my new album.' And then she disappears and I don't hear anything for weeks.

     

    "So if we have a chance to work before the middle of March, we may be able to get the song in it."

    My first post here. I'm not sure how to express my thoughts. My English is rusty, bare (oops bear!) with me. I see Lana evolving, maturing and she seems in peace with life now, so to speak. I'd like an album of hope and wisdom. I want to feel she's strong and in charge, with her trademark sweetness and gentleness. I'd like her to show that it's possible to be an idealist and be happy being in the reality. Somehow, I'd like her to kill her inner princess; she's the only one who can save herself. 

     

    As a cover, I could imagine her singing Tonight Tonight by The Smashing Pumpkins. I love the simplicity and the power of the lyrics. It would feel like she's talking directly to me and I'd like to hear those words from her mouth. 

     

    Here's a live performance. I'd really like to find it in HD. I prefer this VMA performance than the studio version.

    I'm sad. I was maybe 3-4 years old, Careless Whisper was playing on the radio all the time and I started to understand the concept of love, sensuality, sexuality and passion. It sounds strange for such a young child, but those kind of songs (80s slow ballads with sax) awaken the romantic in me. I couldn't wait to grow old, I planned it to be my first slow dance with a boy. Slow dance was very common back then and I thought that people who slow danced were making love in front of everybody and I liked it. 

     

    I would play his cassette and sing with a hairbrush as a microphone, teddy bears and dolls were my audience and I so wanted to participate to the Mini Stars, a local TV show where kids would sing, good or bad. Things were not that great in my life and music was the escape. 

     

    RIP George. They don't make shorts as tight as yours nowadays.

    I'm there. I waited in line since midnight and flew from Montréal. I was #2 in one of the 8 lines. Apparently, the tallest girl in school is not the fastest runner anymore (it felt like she was at the Olympics when they opened the gates) and it's not because she was wearing a dress this time. Ended up being third row. I gave up after 45 minutes, now I'm laying on the grass enjoying the other shows with a beer. I'm gonna eat overpriced junk food soon, I'm excited! It's hot and sunny and there's a cool ocean breeze. I bought a big bottle of water for my friend who scored front row and a security guard gave it to him. We were not allowed to bring water and people will pass out before risking having their spot stolen. I'm serene. No selfie but I'm free ;)

     

    P.s. It's a very small festival and even if I'm not front row, the view is amazing from afar!

    these new photos are gorgeousssss

     

    i just don't notice the weightloss? She's been looking the same weight for a while now to me? it's not like she does promos for her albums anyway so i don't know why it'd be like a "thing" that Lana does when an album comes out?

     

    I've seen a lot of people dragging her weight since the "Big Eyes" promotion and it's upsetting to me because she's beautiful and talented and her weight shouldn't matter. and it seems like every new photo that comes out of lana everyone's like OMG LANAS SO SKINNY AGAIN OMGGGGGGGG.

     

    Maybe it's because it's well known that the industry can be cruel about someone's weight (ex Kesha, Kelly Clarkson, Britney Spears) and puts pressure on artists to lose weight and i hope that's not what happens to Lana.

     

    Plus weight loss is common in drug using...Lana was possibly a user way back when, maybe it should be worrisome and not OMG YAY SKINNY

     

    I unno, maybe i'm sensitive because I'm recovering from bulimia, and Lana helped me feel a little bit better about my body getting bigger ever since i saw Tropico because she had the whole "i'm not stick thin, but i'm sexy as fuck anyway" thing going on and i just liked that about her.
