And another thing, I understand the world isn’t exactly a simple place. Albums get mentioned by artists and go through the ringer and some never even see the light of day due to label issues, production issues, the way of the world, etc, but she is sitting on an allegedly finished record produced by the hottest guy in pop music right now, it’s stupid. I know I’m just regurgitating the same shite but seriously. This is what it’s come to. Girl needs to look to Florence on how to release a book and album in the same timeframe because I stan Florence just as much as I Stan Lana and she went about it in a way that had me juiced for her book AND her album. I bought two copies of Useless Magic and I leafed through it once lol. I still live for it and for her though because she did it right (Stream Jenny of Oldstones by Florence and the Machine)

Yeah, I don’t think the majority of people are pissed at the rate she is putting out music. Last September I was shocked to see her announce another album so soon. She’s going about it like a kid dangling candy in front of another kids face saying “oh, you’ll have this candy soon, but not yet. You can smell it, you can even touch it, but I’ll decide when you’re allowed to eat this candy.” We’ve moved past being excited for it, and now we just want this damn candy so much we are willing to rip it from her hands. She can release her own art in whatever fashion she pleases and I’ll never say she can’t, I just wish she was doing it in a way that was less aggravating. She’s being annoying about it and that is just a straight fact. “It’s coming soon ” “isn’t waiting beautiful?” “Who knows when it’ll come out?? Heehee” NO BITCH. You ain’t being cute, you’re being silly so stop. It’s not her friends, it’s not her label, it’s her. Still luv her tho and can’t wait

Idk maybe it’s dumb optimism, but I don’t put much weight in that march (?) Elle interview being indicative towards when the album is gonna come out.

If her response to “when is your music coming out?” happens to be “you’ll hear it soon and you’ll read my poetry too”, it seems as if the poetry theory might be true. Maybe a side by side release. We won’t see or hear the record until the book is ready to go and they can’t announce the release date of the album because they don’t know when the book will be ready.

She can keep NFR for a bit. I’m giving up sweets, fried foods, and bagged snacks until she officially announces the record and I need to slim down for the summer.

If the album was scrapped they would probably make a statement about it, yeah? There would be literally zero sense in trying to secretly toss out an album that has been talked about by Lana and by music publications repeatedly. It would just make more sense to tell people so they can move on. Also has Jack Antonoff ever said anything about the album?

I’m new so I know nothing of any previous dramas here but THIS KIND OF SLEUTHING IS WHAT I CAME HERE FOR. I’m not here for petty bullshit. I want information on this album, and Norman Fucking Rockwell’s granddaughter confirming (on her Twitter) that the albums delay has nothing to do with the name is the most solid piece of information we’ve had in forever so I’m pleased to see it.

Right? Not everyone is begging for the record to surprise drop or leak right this moment. Personally I just want someone to officially project what time of year it’s coming because even Lana casually mentioning “end of summer” as the release timeframe to a fan doesn’t really mean anything or feel concrete in any way.

^i get the sense you aren’t going to like NFR then. Lol. I expect it to be primarily stuff like hope and in your car and the new snippet and happiness is a butterfly. I’m stoked because I think it’s stuff like this where her true voice shines. BtD is great but she can’t actually sing well in that lower register most of time live so I’m fine with her ditching it. Of course she doesn’t need to give up beats and synths and all that to sing in a different register but piano is the best instrument so I’m not mad she’s using it.
