plottwist Jon Harrington is the upside down of Kit StarkJon or Steeee~ve, who would it be
I walk alone, I'm stranger things
@Sucker ask Aurora to sing stranger version of RWTW
Go row the bike to stranger grounds
But don't you know we're stranger now
Will's heart still beats and his skin still feels
his lungs still breathe, his mind still fears
But we're running out of time
All the Eggos in my mind cry
There's blood on your eyes
The gates's open wide
There is nowhere for you to hide
The Demogorgon's coming
:creep: :creep:
Jonathan aka Charlie Heaton = Alfie Allen + Norman Reedus + Harry Styles + Bill Hader + Leo
Yall is talkin bot El and Barb, but whattabout the Demogorgons u guiiisee..
what if they're just scared babies, confused mothers, desperate lovers--misunderstood by their physical appearance?
in the land of Demogorgons,
i was an angel
live in the garden of upside down
screwed up, scared,
doin stranger things that i needed
'gorgons, standing in front of your gate
Jonathan tellls me to wait
but I can't wait to meet you
:creep: :creep:
the plot-theory of Dems being subjects to tests gone wrong, is plausible, imo
When it first came on, the scene of El first outta the woods (behind the diner) reminds me of this:
apparently stoic, cutesy, albeit creepy 10yos with buzzcut, fit the Hollywood profile of government experiment creature mutant android alien things
Eleven = Natalie Portman (Leon aka The Professionals, Vendetta) + Ivana Baquero (Pan's Labyrinth) + hon. mention Emma Roberts (when in blond wig)
Millie Brown = all of the Grants minus Robster actually in recent Millie interviews she kinda look like Papa Rob at certain lights and angles
nuances of Patty, Chuck, and Lana summed up in this one (awww... shippers) video
hon. mention Charleh
internet of (stranger) thingspinterest never disappointsbless product placements!
when u think you're the only one thinking Will looks like he could be Luke Skywalker, and then the rest of the main cast could be the A, B and C--internet done the job, so i have no words to describe how en pointe this is:
Welp, this is strange, I haven't seen myself posting this much of tl;dr lately...
but I've seen stranger thengz...

The studio version of Gone sounds a bit empty too. They never finished producing the song because it never went in the direction they wanted it to.
I'm pretty sure even the unfinished piece is 674583467x more than enough.
Is/was there an official AMD instrumental release?

ETA: Another song for Aurora to cover that will slay even moreso than Teardrop is... Song To the Siren. As much as I like The Mortal Coil's, Bryan Ferry's and Paula Arundell's version, The Czar's rendition sounds exceptionally Aurora-esque in the simple and effortless way of John Grant maneuvering, lamenting, and delivering his voice.
Or should I say the other way round? Dare I say Aurora is like the female version of John Grant--sonically?
Have a listen to their cover album https://open.spotify.com/album/5FPGpuLVRHQVVF5mCAy4T1
Black Is The Colour, Angel Eyes and For Emily... are especially Aurora-ish.

it's a shame that we'll never hear a HQ/studio-like version of All My Demons, it's the song that I keep coming back to
^ how I feel about Home/Gone/Getting Colder
In other news, the second album is gonna be a slayage and a half. She's worked with some great writers!
Imagine these women join forces : Meet Aurora, the Mythical Lovechild of Björk and Grimes
It was in 2012 when Aksnes uploaded a personal song onto Norwegian Soundcloud that she first got discovered. Originally, the track was meant as a Christmas gift for her parents, but it quickly found its way to the ears of an agent.
@Sucker what song is it?

I moved here yesterday to work for Aurora's management. Sh!t.)
AURORABOARDS in 3, 2..
I remember reading, either everyone wanting every artist to cover Teardrop, or maybe specifically Aurora, but when I saw that cover, I was like, wow imagine those 75643131224545 happy ears dying for it.
But now I'm somehow imagining her covering Alanis Morisette - Uninvited
(Also, now you can tell her that a fan in a Lana forum thinks she's the female, Lannisterish, Jesse Eisenberg--visually)

I was this close to say it but idk why didn't... I would sacrifice her my family if she did, idc
What if she already did?
Which reminds me, do we have a thread chronicling/listing her AUDIO/VIDEO interviews?

Cola reminds me to quite a few. And I really like these kind of music listening experiences, when a song reminds you and makes you want to hear another songs.
Granted, Gaga sampled it in Pokerface, but I think there's a similarity of the way Lana declare her narrative lyrics (esp on the first verse) with the way Annie Lennox sings their Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams (Are Made of These)
The falsetto belting, reminds me of Prince - The Most Beautiful Girl In The World
The outro-vocalizing, yes very universal, but makes me wanna listen to Francis Lai ft Danielle Licari - Snow Frolic I just love this song sm
Bonus, if you enjoy these kind of stuffs like I do

Off to The Races sampled François de Roubaix's Dernier Domicile Connu https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJ2FURhZgy8
Is it possible that OTTR taking cues both sonically and thematically from Robbie Williams - Love Supreme

Brite lites sounds like I'm too sexy by right said Fred
Yes, on a case like this, I'd say ~reminds me to..., or ~make me wanna listen to..
I personally think I'm Too Sexy ~ Brite Lites ~ Blurred Lines
No one is copying/sampling anyone, but they all have similar strands of where a percussion instrument or two, serve that groovy acid funk jazz tempo.
Dare we say, they share the same DNA? The same spirit? The same soul? That tar black soul~ :toofunny:

Ride --> National Anthem --> The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony (~~> Antonio Vivaldi - Four Seasons: La primavera I Allegro)
Subtly, the strings in Ride might remind you to Bittersweet, though fairly enough the arrangement is pretty common.
And I think it's a common knowledge that NA sampled Bittersweet.
(intro) Vera Blue - Hold --> Video Games
This got me wondering what it'd be like if they put on an electro version of VG live.
Does anyone have VG acapella for @butterflies to try to strip down and chillstep remix it?
*back from google* Oh, there's already one.I'm not sure if I get it but I always thought Gaga's Boys Boys Boys could have been a Lana bop with a slightly different production!
I was going to link my past post about wanting to hear Lana covers Lady Gaga - Summerboys, but I can't find it yet. That, and Boys Boys Boys are very Lana-ish, melodically and thematically. I even asked someone to sing it the way Lana sings Puppy Love and Hawaiian Tropic --that sugary sweet, skittish and bashful, demure yet flirty, Lolita-esque voice.

i used a canon 6d.. <3
What camera did you use for the film? I think maybe one of the, funnily enough, toughest challenge in recreating old films look using our present camera technology is that cameras are now produced with such HD features that the frames are so smooth, whereas old films frame-transitions are laggy, jumpy, startled, coughed and skewed.
Make more of these.
Kudos for the actor, the make up, the costume, the location scout.
I honestly thought that midway you will abruptly switch to our present, polluted time--with blinding fast, catatonic, hyper-realistic frames and sounds.
What happened to the lady at the end?
Now we need an Environmental Training vol.2, about a young adult depressed in present time, and pseudo-nostalgically longing to live in the bygone era--when life seemed so simple; travels time to the 40s, only to find that it was just as bad--wars, worldwide socio-economic depressions and cultural uproars.
Made me wanna ask if y'all watch that series The Man in High Castle? I'm considering to. But, eh.. maybe wait until at least S2 or S3.
Cheers!

Back, and I tend to go with the feature-length pop video comment, aye.. I guess I even think Tropico > ND.
I give credit on the line "Sweet, plastic is just good grooming." idk why I just like it.
And maybe it was intentional, or not, idk.. but there was a moment where it felt like I was eternally waiting for the next line after "I don't wanna be them..", and all the while I was screaming and cringing inside, "No, no. Please not that line. Don't let it be that line. No, no~~~~!"
and.it.was.that.line
I haven't guffawed that loud for quite a while.
VISUAL : 2/5 (I think it's okay, if being put in a group of other noir-ish films--competing for neo-noir award, I'll give it a 2.5 perhaps)
ACTING : 2.5/5 (They are decent actors, if not good methinks--was it the lack of dialogue? Perhaps. Who wrote the screenplay?)
SCORE : 3/5 (also okay, there's one that I quite like, towards the end)
That said, I'm astounded at how prophetic this gif was

Well he might actually be on to something. Depending on what type of headphones you are wearing different sounds come through, treble or bass, etc; expensive headphones emit higher frequencies and hear higher sounds. Aurora has recorded all sorts of "field" sounds onto the album that are either quiet or completely inaudible: Dry leaves, stick across a chainlink fence, and her hugging a tree being few of them.[1] Not to mention she has been questioned on the subject of writing "the perfect song" which she said would consist of constant tweaking. There is a chance the radio edit has different noises that would be updated and distinct from the original version because she modified it. Does anyone have an actual link to the radio edit?

I got cheap, standard earphones.
At first I thought it was just the result of hi-hats sound-patterns meshing, but my head opted to decipher it as something else, and yes I think my brain referred to that 'hugging tree sound' interview as well, re: sounds and noises
Are you sure? On Spotify it is listed as I Went Too Far - MK Remix / Radio Version
Neal, can you link the radio edit so I know which one you are referencing specifically?
Sorry m8, got no notifs for being quoted, but the one @@Sucker posted was the one I listened to https://amazingtunes.com/deccarecords/aurora/tunes/403327
Listened to the MK Remix once, I have to passMaybe she sneakily recorded the sound of this train 4:48
