This is kinda the faux-glamour-ish alt pop album I wish she had done
01. Kinda Outta Luck
02. Hundred Dollar Bill
03. You Can Be The Boss
04. Heavy Hitter
05. She's Not Me
06. Us Against The World
07. Put The Radio On
08. Jealous Girl
09. Serial Killer
10. Hollywood's Dead
11. Last Girl On Earth
12. Every Man Gets His Wish
13. The Man I Love
In the parallel universe where she released it, singles would have been KOOL, YCBTB, SK and EMGHW

Well ... it was. But go off with that "gurl " attitude if it makes you feel special xx

She had already shared a snippet of Tulsa Jesus Freak and performed a bit of Yosemite and the entirety of Breaking Up Slowly and For Free. That's *SEVEN* songs previewed before the album release.
Lol.
WD was not released prior to the album and the "bit of Yosemite" was literally some acapella performance of 3 lines that did not really give any indication of how the song would sound

I'm afraid to get hyped about this - still scarred from the White Dress where streaming services listed a date AND we had teasers by Lana and nothing happened in the end
-
I prefer singles over having many unheard tracks on the album. Single releases make you spent so much more time with a track. I doubt I would love Arcadia, Ocean Blvd. or MAC as much as I do if I would have heard them as an album track for the first time.

Robin Kester - Honeycomb Shades
Emiliana Torrini & The Colorist Orchestra - Racing The Storm
Yazmin Lacey - Voice Notes

Every album should be its individual thing

Seeing this thread is hot, cklicking on it and then seeing the blurred credit screencaps is such a letdown

Well, there still could be a connection here. Maybe she carried over the idea for that intro to a new track.

I bet Peppers will just be a random part of a lyric in the track, not a prominent chorus or symbolysm.
Something like "You told me you don't love me while we were cutting peppers in your pantry kitchen, so I could pretend the tears were not because of you"

Didn't the insider say almost all tracks got renamed? So perhaps DNC is Taco Truck or somethin ..

Claiming side D.
Margaret, Fishtail and Taco Truck (💀) will slay, I just know it.
Really intrigued what Fingertips and Kintsugi will be like too

i understood that there was a layer under the mesh/gemstones so how was it any different than the masks anyone else was wearing at that point anyway ?
It was obviously a mesh. Her saying there was something underneath is just as believable as her saying she never had plastic surgery. It was a just a stupid and irresponsible thing to do.

But will we hear RCS on the album?
(or the reborn of this)
As multiple insiders stated there is no material from previous eras on this - likely not

54 minutes ago, bluechemtrails said:But it was also iconic and courageous and expressed exactly my feelings at the time, like "f*ck Corona, f*ck wearing a mask, I'm not into it". Today you can rather smile about it (by the way, many people still die from Corona, but nobody cares anymore).
No it was a stupid Karen thing to do. There is just no way of minting this

I'm so tired of this romanticized "fame treated her badly ;(" narrative both Lana and the fan culture are pushing.
Yeah, media was harsh during BTD/P and of course fame can be tough. But please, can we stop with that narrative of her being exposed to attention against her will?

1 hour ago, VioletBunny said:America by Xylo & also there’s another song that has the same intro I just can’t think of. I think they’re just similar not exactly plagiarism
I feel like "America" definitely IS a rip off. Both the melody and production have way too many similarities for this to be a coincidence
