I'm agnostic and have a bottle of whisky in my house, but it's probably going to sit there for years. I'm just a person who has seen too many people ruin their lives over something as unnecessary as drugs. It's a scientific fact that alcohol is a poison; it has nothing to do with religion. If people knew anything about how alcohol acts in the body, they would know it's a poison; but, they don't. 

I think there is a difference between attracting young fans unintentionally while being a bad role model and intentionally attracting young fans while being a bad role model. Charli's target audience is teenage girls. The "getting high, getting wrecked" line is just more of Charli trying too hard to be a badass. I'm not convinced. I feel the same about Tinashe and "2 On" after seeing her old videos being a good girl and talking about how she dislikes alcohol. Now all of a sudden, she likes to get drunk and high at the same time.

But they're kinda right I mean Charli says she wants to make music to appeal to that age group and the lyrics are about skipping school and getting trashed sooooo......

"Break the Rules" blows. I can't even imagine it being a radio hit, but mainstream music isn't at its best right now, so who knows. If she's going to be morally bankrupt promoting substance abuse over education to 14 year old girls, she could at least make the music sound good. I don't think I'll be buying this album. I'd rather listen to Avril Lavigne. 

They are all ugly... Why couldn't she have done a professional looking single cover, with perhaps a photo of herself?

Pop with live instruments and a punk edge is a better description than colors. I don't even know what purple and red are supposed to sound like. It's different for everyone. In one interview, she said that True Romance was gold and something else, so she can't even decide. 

I should be happy right now because I wasn't excited for the punk direction, but I have a feeling the album isn't going to be the "good" pop like True Romance. If "Boom Clap" is an indicator of the album's sound I don't think I'll like it too much. I hope she proves me wrong though.

You're entitled to disagree with me, even though you could have done it with more tact, but a lot of people had to be thinking the same thing as I was. 

My dreams have come true. I'm glad the faux punk album was scrapped. That shit was terrible. It's not that I can't get into punk music; she's just not a punk artist. I hope all of those songs get lost in a digital black hole.

I'm going to set my DVR for the morning show she's going to be on. She's going to brush her hair for that one. 

Why are you getting so upset? Cognitive dissonance is uncomfortable, isn't it? Iggy just learned how to shut her mouth. Even if she weren't racist and trashy, she would still lack talent. Angel Haze has an annoying voice? Iggy's poor execution of the American accent is 10 times more annoying. 

I usually agree with your posts but this time I literally can't. It doesn't matter when/where she said it, who she said it around, the point is that she did say the comments publicly on more than one occasion and it's well documented all over the internet. It makes her more of an ignoramus more than it makes her a racist though. I don't really distinguish between the two.

I've been a harcore hip hop fan for over 20 years. Iggy's lyrics are basic, her flow needs improvement, and her fake, southern, African American accent reminds me of minstrel shows. It's so bad, it's almost offensive. She even had the audacity to call herself a slave master on one of her tracks and make racist comments about Asians and Mexicans on her Twitter in addition to homophobic comments. Her lame excuses haven't worked on me, and I haven't forgotten.
