You don't see the irony in these lyrics? (just asking, i don't want to be rude) I know it's all about personal taste, but in my opinion, Cruel World is one of her best songs.

Paradise Era. I started to like her afer iconic snl performance but I became a fan quick after Ride (aka "the song which changed my life") was released.

I feel that way too. Born To Die was great and iconic, but in my opinion, UV is much better in terms of lyrics and overall sound (songs like Black Beauty, Cruel World, Old Money, West Coast, Is This Hapiness). Whole album sounds more well-planned and creative. The production is unique and raw, it really fits her. BTD < UV
