I’m still hoping WD doesn’t come out til album release date and is pushed as a single then. Maybe along with TJF as a dual single. I think it’s the best way to build hype for the album that’ll actually translate to album streams and therefore sales. For the most part, the people who were going to pre order the album have done so already and what we need now is to focus on streaming. By having the song and video come out on release day it’ll build hype for streaming the song and since it’s the opener people will hopefully keep listening. The next song is COCC which is a beauty and then TJF should be freaky cool enough and it’ll draw people in!

I feel the same way! I am unbelievably excited and can’t wait, but it’s calming knowing it’s coming in just over 2 weeks and I already have my plans set. I’m not listening to any leaks or new songs released until release, so that’s 9 brand new songs (8 if you don’t count for free). I took Friday off work so I’m staying up Thursday and listening right at midnight. I’m gonna have some drinks and smoke some weed and then listen 2-3 times as I lay down/pace around my apartment and jam. Same as I did for NFR release and it was magical! Then maybe I’ll have some take out set aside and enjoy a nice meal and listen again!

I think it’s just a marketing strategy. They let the regular items and bundles go on sale for about a month without anything special. Then they offer some discount type stuff to get people unsure of whether to buy to do so or to add an extra cd or something to their order to boost sales!

I agree with what the previous few people said, but for me I always get a black vinyl anyways and just in case and that’s the one I play, and then the color variants I just keep safe and look at lol

I’m thinking and hoping album trailer comes out like the week before, maybe two weeks max. They need to build as much hype up as possible right before release so people have a reason to stream so (she can beat Mustin) she has good sales and the album can be considered a success by her label

BUS has creeped its way into one of my most anticipated and I’m not sorry about it ? I was upset at first hearing the snip and it being a collab and then furthermore to find that it took up a spot in an only 11 track album. But sometime in January I could not stop listening to the performance snip and feel in love with it!

Anyways the good news is that in exactly JUST a little less than 3 weeks we’ll be streaming the whole album and it’s gonna be spectacular so WE WON

One of those lana fans that she interacts with often posted in ig that he’s “predicting” a WD picture disc tomorrow and I know it’s a REACH buttttt maybe and just putting it out there. another reach, but last time they posted something like this was that we’d get the Album cover on Sunday prior to pre order and everything and that was correct.

Although it’s unlikely at this point I get it, I kinda always thought it would be a simultaneous release at east coast US midnight time. Isn’t that what she does with her bigger releases (if not at a random time like COCCsingle)? Still it happened at once. That’s how albums drop too. I just think there’s hope for 15 and a half hours from now!

If WD single is indeed released Friday, I’m hoping they drop it Friday as well (maybe even along with the merch drop if we’re lucky!)

I always thought that was because technically it is releasing on March 19, as part of the whole album package, so once the album went on per order it went to March 19. Then it went back to February 26 as part of when it’ll release as a single. I could be wrong but unless they changed it again (which indeed is very likely) I’m pretty sure it’s coming Friday. Also eclipse hasn’t said it won’t come Friday and usually he does tell us when nothing should be expected, I think anyways lol

Her albums reaching 1 billion is also really cool because the streams are split even throughout all the songs and not just a single or two. Truly an album artist. For example with Norman, doin Time has ~165m streams and that’s the highest one, so the one billion streams means the whole album is being listened to. Except maybe bartender not so much but that’s okay it’s a hidden gem. That goes with all her albums. Even with born to die where SS has like half a billion streams and several other songs have several hundred million, the whole album has over 3 billion streams and all songs stream well!

I think she posted about it Thursday morning and it came out that night at midnight (I’m speaking from east coast US time) so maybe we’ll know for sure Thursday morning lol...
