Love this alternative cover from Urban Outfitters.
It's atrocious. Thank God her management forced her to discard it.

i've decided Love Song might just be my favorite Lana song ever
You have decided wisely my friend.
-
it's actually terrifying thinking that cover could've been the official one
This. Every time I think that that atrocity could’ve been the actual album cover... my god, this woman...

Already looking forward to the next album. Do you guys think it'll be one year after NFR or two?
Who knows... I don't think she's releasing albums in a period of one year to one year anymore. I think we will have the next one in three years more or less. Don't ask me why, just what I feel.

It's honeslty so hard not being able to listen to Love song and California without crying
I guess I'm gonna give myself a few days to process them.
I almost cried today listening to Love Song. The last line of the song when she repeats "it all comes down to make the sound of a love song" while she voice seems to break is touching and heartbreaking.
California is a masterpiece, nothing left to say.

Interesting considering they also gave 4/5 stars to BTD (an album fans love to bash, especially during this era).
So both BTD and NFR received the SAME ratings from the SAME publication AND the same journalist is responsible for rating BOTH of these albums equally.
Very interesting compared to the 3.5/5 they gave UV & the 3/5 for HM.
He has taste, honey.

i was gonna write a long ass paragraph about why reviewers who dissed her earlier albums are now giving her amazing scores across the board and ignoring some of her dumber lyrics and the terrible production on songs like htd but i don’t have the energy someone else do it for me
The problem is that the question of HTD production is a matter of opinion. For me is amazing, the instrumental solo is glorious. And probably some reviewers will love the production too. Take into account that these persons haven't probably listened to the live version so they don't have any idea how the song was. The same happens with TNBAR.

Can someone explain why there are 2 different versions of f*ck it, I love you? Is the itunes version going to be updated cause I lowkey like the album version better
The iTunes version cannot be updated since people have already downloaded it and it's already available.

So, I was screaming seeing her real worst song (Guns And Roses) and suddenly Hope is the first one. Ok Billboard, I appreciate you so much for doing such an elaborated article and ranking with descriptions and all this, but come on, this is not realistic at all.
P.D: I didn't notice at first, The Blackest Day #80? WHAT THE HELL.

Basically, a drum track (the high snare hit and the the surfer rhythm beat) is missing on select physical copies of the album. The digital versions will be the single version that we heard on the music video. Now we have this mob mentality and people are being hysterical and saying it ruins the track, when in reality we just have two versions to enjoy.
We all know the real evil is that fucking elevator marimba on HTD.
This. I prefer the single version much more but I'm grateful we can enjoy the two versions. Plus, I'm not listening music from CDs anymore, I just use Spotify so if I want to listen that specific version I can play the CD and that's it.

So I heard the record couple of times.
California is one of her best songs ever. It's really mature and follows some kind of logic in her evolution as an artist.
"How to disappear" sounds terrible to my ears. Is that supposed to be a Christmas song?
"Love Song" starts great and then sounds like a freestyle session in the studio. WTF?
"The Next Best American Record" is probably the worst song in the record.
"Cinnamon" is good, but it sounds like the track that should have been between "Cherry" and "White Mustang" on LFL. I don't see it in NFR. :/
About the rest:
Venice Bitch, California, Bartender, NFR, Happiness is a butterfly, MAC, The Greatest - I wouldn't mind if the album was just those 7. It still would have been her best record ever.
Overall - NFR sounds like LFL - I mean both records sound like the work of an artist looking for a new direction. Let's hope that her next album will be entirely in the lanes of this new direction.
And where are the RHCP vibes anyway?

art deco is criminally underrated, my username speaks for itself
Art Deco is probably my second fav track on Honeymoon right after Terrence Loves You.
Art Deco >>>>>> Freak
-
I guess trap like, hard hitting beats with crisp and perfectly sequenced hihats equals bad production to some
Compare the production of How To Disappear to Groupie Love
Compare the production of The Greatest to the whole LFL . And you are talking to a LFL stan.
-
NFR production is far worse than LFL
Are u still listening to the LQ leak? The HQ is available on the internet.
-
-
So can someone confirm that NFR is still up there as one of her best albums?
Seems listening to the production in HQ has got some of you bamboozled
The album is miles better in HQ than it was the LQ mess. So I don't get why some people here is complaining about the album when its production is literally amazing.
