• Is it a new show a a continuation of the one she did last year ? (I want to know if it's pretty much the same setlist and same staging as last years's show but don't want anything too specific)
   
• Did she sing new songs (I don't need to know how many) ?
   
• Did she sing Coachella for Coachella ? 
   
• What is the controversy about on that show ?
   
• Was she good ?

I adore The Bride. it is such a daring concept with intense storytelling. I love the throback feel of Lost Girls but I have more trouble to stay connected to the album even if I like it. 

I'm pretty sure you'll like some stuff of the new album. I also prefer the first single.

I so agree. It is a spiritual journey entirely and I'm pretty sure the album's gonna be. She's playing at a festival I'm going in France and I just can"t wait !

So I did some reseach and it's definitely not clear.

 

The first album is obviously called Renaissance and has also been referred in official sources as Act I: Renaissance. The second album has been announced as simply Act II, and it might not change unless they want to keep it a surprise until closer to the release. The trilogy has not been officially named but I've seen many articles talking about the Renaissance Trilogy. Might be an error of intepretation of Beyoncé's initial press release about renaissance and the trilogy.

 

Let's wait and see.

At first I tough Renaissance was global name of the project but It's obviously just Act I.

I love this. It really gave me hope for the country album. If they take the same approach to country as they did to Blues on this one, I'de be very pleased. Plus it reminded me of her country songs she sang live (Hey Baby Blue, I must be stupid...) which are unexpectedly upbeat.

I love her recent very experimental music (I love Vulnicura and Utopia, had more trouble with Fossora), but I'm very happy to hear some poppier and like @King said melodic songs. Plus there some recent Bjork creeping in the production (with the very Utopia-like flutes) and some modern sounds too. I hope we'll get an experimental pop album with this type of sound in the future.

Those pictures are gorgeous. The ones with the fringe wig are reminiscent to the Lizzy days (in dark hair version) and the Honeymoon photoshoot.

Lots of people think Lana must think of Black Beauty as a sister-song ... it's just the standard version, but I'm quite happy because my Ultraviolence vinyl doesn't have Black Beauty on it and it's one of my favourite songs. I will forever question the decision to just make it a deluxe bonus track

Thank you. The picture they used is beautiful. It is more suited for the song than the picture that was used on streaming. I love that dates back from the era during which the song was recorded. Is the full picture available somewhere ?

That's beautiful. I love how she sampled herself in a rework of Fine day. The lyrics from the latter are miroring Sad Day perfectly. The ending is so emotional.

She's in her Madonna era and it does suit her pretty fine especially since she's always been a strong advocator for Voging and queer culture.

Release is aligned with their O2 Headline show tonight. It comes 10 years after Flatline, pretty much on the 23 anniversary of Overload. Plus the physical for the Lost Tapes are being shipped on the same day (perfect way to get closure and start the new era).

 

I was disappointed on first listen but it's grown on me a lot, it's cute and summery. Not as good as any of their previous leads singles but as far as we know, it could be only a buzz single. Love Mutya's vocals and the harmonies.

So I finally made my own french translations for track titles. 

 

This was a very good exercice that helped me realize a lot of titles have double meaning which makes them hard to translate. It was actually quite fun to do this.

 

Reading them in French made me revisit some tracklists and see how interesting and evocative they are. Ultraviolence in particular is so shocking and daring. Reading the translation is like reading it for the first time. I remember I believed it was a fake one when I first read it.

I saw your comment before hearing it but I do agree that it sounds very similar. I would probably have been mistaken. It does also remind me of Dark Paradise's intro.
