Yes Vespertine is magic. Literally sounds like forest magic music, so lush and beautiful. Her last truly good album (although Medulla has alot of good tracks too).

I totally disagree. The only album of hers that I can't that much connect to is Volta. Vulnicura is Heartbreaking so I can't listen to it at any time but it's a masterpiece, as indigestible as it is. Utopia can also be hard to digest but still magic.

My top of her albums right now

    1 - Homogenic

    2 - Utopia

    3 - Medulla - Vespertine - Post

    4 - Vulnicura

    5 - Selma songs

    6 - Debut

    7- Biophilia

    8 - Volta

I feel like the top 4 is perfection so that part of my ranking changes all the time. The rest is still very good.

    What a discography :oprah2:

I hope we'll get something lighter than the last two albums but I'll still love it if it's a beautifully complicated and messy masterpiece.:oop:

I'm probably gonna get dragged but Atopos cover art is so ugly byeeee:toofloppy:

Actually I agree. It looks Bjorkish but unlike most of her other artworks I don't like it at all.

@Whore of Tropico's comment made me realise it looks like  salad and ognion leftovers from a wasted burger.:wtf:

Thankfully it is for the single and not the album.:angie:

She gives me Caroline Polacheck vibes on this picture even tough I think Bjork is an inspiration for Caroline and probably not the other way around.

Apparently a member of the Gabber Modus Operandi (co-producers of Atopos and probably the album) has been accused of Sexual Assault. They just released a statement, so maybe that's why B pushed back Atopos and probably the album release date as well.

    ME-SSYYYY :rip:

the album comes out in like 4 minutes and still no video :crossed:

I'm choosing to belive that B7 is a visual album and that she don't want to spoil the narrative by releasing the video before she reveals the whole thing. Am I being delusional ? :xgiggle:

The tracklist sounds very intringuing. There's definitely going to be some political stuff. Plastic Off the Sofa reminds me of Lana's "finger nail on plastic bag" quote from upcoming song.

The list of colaborators is impressive as always.

  5. An update for anyone interested.

They were at Glastonbury and there attracted so so many people that entry to Avalon Stage had to be closed. A festival first apparently.

Flatline, their first single since they reunited was rereleased under the Sugababes name this year. It didn't get the attention it deserved in 2013 because there was much confusion about the band's name (people called them MKS or Sugababes while they were Mutya Keisha Siobhan at the time). Now that they won back their name it's only justice for Flatline to be retconed as Sugababes song. It is an instant classic. It got great reviews at the time.

Push The Button song of the century that’s some REAL music right there!

Praying for a comeback album. The MKS lineup really is the best one like the scrapped MKS album songs were So good.

I definitely agree They are the best lineup. Individually they are each better singers than their replacement (in my opinion) but what strikes the most is the heavenly harmonies these 3 bring. There's a chemestry that can't be replicated.

This interpretation of Caught in a moment is the best exemple. Siobhan is replacing Heidi's parts here. She's literally replacing her replacement and it works so much. I think it's way better than the original version.

And yes the songs they recorded during the MKS era was really good. It's too bad they never got to release it because of the fight for the name and the leak. The 50 songs that leaked are among the best Sugababes songs. A double album with the best songs from the leak and new songs would be great.

This thread pops up and I'm like  that sounds familiar! So I search on YouTube and it's this song!

Sorry to the real fans cause this is probably that annoying song that got so popular, but I loved this when I was like 9 or 10. I remember thinking the black girl was the prettiest person I'd ever seen. Still think so :flutter: damn I love this song. How can they be singing so sweet but its so dirty

Such a fun song. I think it is a classic for fans too. Maybe not as much as more Alt Pop songs such as Freak Like Me.

It's funny because I saw the Lizzy Grant Sugarbaby EP topic appear on the main page when I was going to update this post. I believe that their manager called them Sugarbabies before they choose Sugababes as their band's name.

  6. Nice. I personally love that song. The demo made me love it even more because I do think the process of writing those was healing. She expressed her pain in the original one and she healed it in the final version with the help of Stevie. It was a very emotional experience to hear both version one after the other when I was feeling completely down.

It is a nice fit for the documentary and it's getting an old song some visibility which I'm all up for.

Didn’t she have a deal with Netflix for three projects or something? I don’t think they’d sell it as a DVD if they’re gonna release it through Netflix.

No one buys dvds. If it ain’t 4k then don’t bother with physical media for visuals imo.

There may be visuals, we will just get them all on YouTube or something.

You guys are right. There was no DVD for Black is the king. The visual was released after the album. Don't know if they released a Blu-Ray/DVD afterwards.

    We'll see.

  8. It's available in France now. :trisha: Thank god. I was tired of listening to it on youtube.

It's weird how they put it in as a joint EP with Father John Misty songs. It's confusing for people who didn't know about this before cause it makes you think it's a EP full of duets.

It's a good strategy though cause it'll make Lana fans listen to songs from his album.

Thanks for sharing. So she's performing Killer with some Magdalene songs. It kind of confirms that Caprisong was a concept that she viewed as a side project for a short period of time. It was a short but intense era with all those videos. I loved it but I'm fine if she's back to destroy us with emotionally deep cuts.

couldn't agree more. No streams from me, and then they have the nerve to be "saddened by the state of independent music"

Yeah, no one wants to stream this crap for good reason.

Well honestly you're allowed to your own opinion but using words as crap is completely disrespectful. It is disrespectful for the artist who obsviously put their heart into their art. It is also disrespectful to people who enjoy the album.

It is not against you Thunder. I just don't understand the amount of toxicness in here. Of course we're here to discussed. You can say you don't like something and elaborate, it's the point of a forum but saying things like that is definitely not constructive.

And please people don't make it a "my taste is better than yours" case.

Back on subject I'm personnaly really touched by the new music. It really speaks to me on a deep level. It is a spiritual experience. :oprah:

I wish Ionnalee and her new born child all the best and I'm eagerly waiting for the full visual to be released on her own time.

Dunno if this is a popular opinion or not, but if she merged the projects of Homogenic and Vespertine, it would probably be my favourite album ever. :wowcry:

Why merge two perfect albums so we only have one? :twirls:

I don't but let me say that I liked this song and I loved the Lana song on your signature :hair:
