I think the deluxe only has 1 more new track since it's only 15 cards and the standard tracklist is 14 tracks.

Or the standard version has 15 tracks but she didn't count Heaven because it's the intro and not a full song. :dua:

I wasn't expecting that bombastic and ethereal sound for "My Love", this is great. Love it.

Seems like the songs will have some nice use of foleys and stomping.

  2. The thing with the cards on the website makes me believe that they will reveal it track by track. I hope something like Iamamiwhoami's audiovisual albums rollouts with one video each week. :candy:

I don't think it would be as natural to reveal for exemple 3 random cards for the singles then all the cards for the album but I might be wrong.

EDIT : Wait, that makes perfect sense with the may date. If they start releasing one track per week from this week, we shall have all 15 by may with the physical release coming. :paris: My mind:oprah3:

LITERALLY SO GOOD :trisha: the way she just dropped SOTY its so fulfilling when the studio version lives up to the live version the children choir at the end is so beautiful

What is SOTY ? Another name for Billions ?

Both songs are so good. After Bunny is a Rider and the XCX collab, I feared a mainstream turn in her career, but she's here to stay and slay the experimental sound. She flew us to heaven.

    The children choir is everything.:wowcry:

Any news on what's coming ? EP or album ? When ?

    what we know about b10:

    - potential release date: summer 2022

    - sound: folky-acoustic then dance in the last minute

    - visuals probably not completed at this moment

    - collab with bergur þórisson (engineer for utopia + cornucopia tour) + rumored collab with dhafer youssef (known for combining tunisian music with jazz)

and this is pretty much all we know :heidi:

Yes but that's so exiting already. :legend:

I haven't gotten into her other pre-Visions stuff yet but Vanessa is amazing. I was obsessed with that song years ago:legend:

She literally reinvented laptop demo and transcended it :legend:

I started with Visions too. I have to dive into her work before that because Vanessa sounds heavenly. It's weird and etheral, I love it.

It's coming you little bitches ! :crying:

The guys who made the Chemtrails video did this one.

She's really going 100% for her manga era. :makeup2:

  7. I so agree about that idea.

When the posters for the Love music video were being spotted around (with the album still unannounced), I remember believing she was going to release a visual album called Love with a hippie / sci-fi aestethic. How amazing would it have been.

    MODZIK_LANA-DEL-REY-LOVE-POSTER-2.jpg

Honeymoon would have been great as it is a really cohesive album but any album would have been great. Her music is very cinematic so it is very fitting for videos.

We got something pretty close with Tropico for Paraside (+ a short film for Ride and video/commercials for both Blue Velvet and Burning Desire).

  8. It's not in full on deezer and I was able to listen to it multiple times.

It is a great mixtape and I actually love the talking. it really serves the way she intended to. You can't feel lonely while listening to it. Lot of love is given.

She's really exploring the dancehall/r&b sound she was intending for between Mellissa and Magdalene that she never got a chance to release.

Love the luminous sound for Bad Gyal Fka Twigs.

it’s going to have a rollout and everything! “singles” will be happening for sure. and not completely new instrumentals, but I’m extracting the stems to keep some of the flare and classic LDR sound in them. LFL is my least favorite album so i just want a chance to like it :toofunny:

well LFL won :-) be excited because this is some good stuff…… and don’t forget to vote me for the best audio art lipster award:silly::silly::silly:

Great. Thank you a lot  :candy::heart:

  10. Cat Power says she's got a project in mind with Lana and photographer Nan Goldin. Does it need it's own thread ?

There also a few other mentions of Lana in this french article :

    https://madame.lefigaro.fr/celebrites/catpower-javais-plus-de-40-ans-et-des-hommes-daffaires-avaient-decide-que-je-netais-plus-une-artiste-130122-210256

Here's a translation of the Lana bits :

    Quote

Lana Del Rey quotes her among her favorite singers: “Cat Power is an immense songwriter. "

    [...]

You are the opening act for for Lana Del Rey's concert, of which you deliver here a version of White Mustang. What binds you ?

I met Lana in 2017. She often cited me among the artists she admired. At that time, my label had turned its back on me, I was over 40, and businessmen had decided that I was no longer an artist. Lana reminded me that I was one. She reminded me that there is still a sense of camaraderie in music. Our song, Woman, is about the value of women - it's an ode to the power of words and believing in each other. I have a project in mind on this theme with Lana and the photographer Nan Goldin, whom I have known since the 1980s.

the LFL 80s mix is winning right now so i’m starting it so i can give it to you guys in a respectful amount of time in case that’s the one that wins, but also it’s so hard to imagine her some of her songs in a completely new light 😭 but ima do it anyway:usrs:

So completely new instrumentals for every songs ?

Can't wait. We need that cohesive L4L :oop:

Don't hesitate to post them as they go. We need singles to your album :true:

    Thanks a lot :kiss3:

  12. Oh gosh. Deezer, the french spotify is missing half the songs from the album. they are just greyed out and can't be played. Tried on both my computer and my phone, there's something wrong. It so confusing and disapointing.

On first half listen, I love the album. That's a very good suprise. Everything is so original like everything Twigs makes. There's some weird stuff but that's what I love about it. plus the carefreeness of the album that I feared is actually what I love about the body of work. It's nice to have lighter stuff by my gild Twigs. The less original song is probably Tears in the club but it has grown so much on me and became my bop of the moment. Can't wait to hear the rest.

I was scared by reading your comments because I was bored of the interludes in Frank Ocean's Blonde and did edit my version of the album so I could really enjoy it. The interludes I've heard so far on Caprisongs don't bother me at all and I think that they really add to the mixtape. They are not long and mostly flow with the music and add to its feeling. :nails:

  13. So she did drop Jorja Smith of the Dua collab only to drop the Dua collab and keep Jorja on another song. Personally, I'm fine with that. :true:

It's officially a mixtape and I love that. It allows her to be more casual about her work without giving a message that she won't continue feed us with more experimental and emotional projects. Plus we're getting an album worth of songs that doesn't include most of the songs she dropped recently (Don't judge me, Measure of a man, Why don't you love me).

I Know WDYLM hasn't been properly released.

I also love how every project is it's own full project. She releases EPs, Mixtapes, Albums without reusing older material.

how could i ever thought Tears sounded basic :oprah: this is her biggest bop ever. so excited for the mixtape

It has grown on me so much.

  15. I love it. It keeps the original mix while making it sound more finished. It gives me The Chromatics + Stranger things vibes :makeup2:

Makes me like the song even more.

Can't wait to hear the whole Lust for Life (80 Mix).

BOZ said “It’s because it sounds bland, it sounds like something so many other artists could release which makes it come off as boring. Artist like Fka has bar set high and is always expected to bring something fresh and unique and it’s disappointing when she doesn’t” about the song and that the album sounds the same..

i Don’t think the song sounds bland but I agree it’s missing the usual FKA Twigs feel to it. kinda hoped the album would be different

She's definitly going for something more generic but that's on purpose for sure. I said I'm not too keen on the songs but I've been having the two last ones stuck in my head for days. It works but it's just not very original coming from Twigs.

I see it as she's pushing the limit even further regards to making a banger then when she did Two Weeks, In Time or Holy Terrain

That's a great way to see it. Those are R&B songs in a more classic way than her usual stuff. They are still good in the context of the album and are a way to reach the general public.

Mixtape arriving January 14 according to NYLON

Well if it's still a mixtape and not an actual album I guess we can consider it a side project from FKA Twigs other work. She's so unusual that she'll have her mixtape being the one release being very commercial and successful while her albums and EPs are being more experimental and critically acclaimed.

Just imagine if Trilogy - Kissland era Abel made a song with twigs.

That's exactly what I thought.  EP2 Twigs with House of Balloons The Weeknd would have been ace. I imagine something kinda like FKA Twigs x inc. but dirtier and more experimental.

Just like with Lana the old Abel could be the guy on Twigs early songs and vice versa.

House of Balloons Abel with any other Lana than Lust for life Lana would have been great as well.

I was gonna say that, but Lana's vocals were still beautiful and we got all those demos :illumilana2:

Yeah. Actually I don't mind The Weeknd on Tears in the club. The song just doesn't click with me. I've not been too keen on the post-magdalene singles so far.

No complete dislikes but everything she had released before were instant crushes for me, almost shocking how different some were to what was out there.:blanche7:

I'll give this projet it's chances tough. :dua:

An installment / show she did in 2016 after the Radiant Me Tour. Supposedly was going to be a film with accompanying soundtrack with tracks like “Trust In Me”, “Beach”, etc.

Oh I forgot about Trust in me. We never got the full version of her indigo child anthem. :nails:

I always thought MAGDALENE would make a good musical after the sad day music video. She would know how to do it so well. Unlike Melanie and Halsey (love them), she doesn’t include the whole song and edited it to go along with the visuals almost as if it’s background music that helps the feel of the scene instead of like a music video if that makes sense. Imo that would be perfect :gclap:

I agree, Magdalene would have been a perfect musical. We did get it somehow with the live shows. I hope we'll get professional footages of the whole thing someday. I've seen it twice but of course it's not enough

The Weeknds part of the video is amazing. I really thought an FKA Twigs and The Weeknd collab would be a better song tho. It really would have gone off for me if it was ethereal like Prisoner or something. It doesn't really show the best of either of them.

    Lust for life situation ?
