  1. "Lana is lowkey using poverty as an aesthetic this era (when she obviously did it w/ her Lizzy Grant era too,) but like being a bartender and hanging out w/ old men when in reality she spends her nights in the VIP lounge at Hillsong and has multiple mansions is a bit ridiculous." This wasn't a game but @@Dominikx4 won
  2. But is it because they love it, or because that's where most of the revenue they can make from music comes from in the age of streaming? - I don't think Lana will retire, as in, no longer sing. She will probably settle down one day (maybe have children?) and do a few shows every couple years when she feels like it. I don't think she will ever stop making music, that is her path to self-discovery and communication, and that's a lifetime's journey for such an introspective person like her. Cat Power is almost 50 and I don't see her stop perfoming.
  3. Someone's gonna ship a single CD by mistake to one of us without even charging and we'll begin our crime life for the greater good Okay, now, seriously: I think it will, it's almost a given at this point. If there's a tape going around, there can be other things. If her albums always get to us before the release date, this won't be different, I guess. Besides, lots of artists seem to have leaks lately, this is almost becoming the norm.
  4. As long as it leaks in HD in the meantime, we can AND will do it.
  5. Nobody said anything. Jack said on Twitter they would come out at 12am that day and then quickly said it was a mistake and it would come "soon". Maybe they wanted to give some space between the singles and SOW/LFA? It was before the leaks, so...
  6. I'm sure we will, the German (?) version will eventually be shared just like what happens to all those special tracks in other regions or stores. I don't understand why they made that on the first place. Do they seriously think people will order CDs from a foreign store and have it shipped overseas over 30 unknown extra seconds of an already released single song? It doesn't lead to any profit, only favoritism and piracy.
  7. Hope is a rebellion anthem. Not many would have the courage on the age of steaming to sing for five minutes straight about feeling crazy and being depressed but still trying to find a bit of light with nothing but a piano on the background. Lana is not ashamed of her feels, had sweet lyrics, and is thus braver than the Marines.
  8. I've been on the Internet long enough to know this wouldn't make much sense
  9. I personally think it looks rad on a screen since they always show the aerial view. And if she wasn't laying down, she could never get up to sing/scream I'M PRETTY WHEN I CRYYYYYY
  10. You know what they say, sometimes love is not enough and the road gets tough I don't know why. Okay, to elaborate: despite your last sentence, I don't think they'll ever get back together "once and for all". The connection they had was amazing, but it's still hard to build a healthy and prosperous relationship like that. They get each other, maybe they're soulmates, but they would need stability and someone a bit different to give them what they needed to grow. I hope they still cherish what they had and that, in some way, they kept it, though.
  11. It's more like a joke because with Lana, when things are talked about and then delayed, that usually means we'll never hear of them again
  12. Technically, yes, but it's tricky. You're sharing a product that costs money for free, you would need the artist's permission for that or a license. However, in this case, she's not making any monetarily profit from it (which is the usual defense), and she's a child. This seems like that debate "which is worse: the one that sells the gun, the one that orders other person to fire the gun, or the one that actually fires the gun"
  13. Didn't her parents or grandparents or etc. give it to her? Like, she probably knew it was supposed to come on the 30th, but she probably was also just excited and felt special for having it before the release date, so she wanted to share, maybe she thought she was doing something nice. She didn't even have that many followers, I don't think she had the notion of what she was doing, she probably wanted to just send the songs to her friends and she didn't have the full conscious that uploading songs is illegal and that she would get into trouble or be chased by Universal or the whole Internet. She's just a 7th or 8th grader at the end of the day, and it was just a mistake. I don't think she deserves some type of comments I've read already.
  14. I kinda hope that the two are still good friends (even if they don't talk that much, maybe?) after what happened and that this is really the case. I feel like their personalities and relationship were something rare, and that they really got each other. Even if things don't always work out, there's always some once in a lifetime connections that stay and change us. I think they were really important to each other and it makes sense that this record is inspired by him.
  15. You either don't know how those signs work or you have some explaining to do
  16. Okay, sorry for quoting this again, but I just remembered there's a whole song called "Bel Air"
  17. I don't know if it counts, but form the top of my head, what about "I'm scared that you won't be waiting on the other side" in Dark Paradise?
  18. I can't believe my baby BAR is getting slaughtered with a bunch of <6 ratings like this I trusted you, Lana.
  19. Honestly, that's not even the worst, since those who are in that playlist are already looking for Lana. That song got added to hundreds of "Release Radar" playlists, and those are for non-fans too. When the song is actually released, nobody will hear it because it will no longer be sugested. They're literally loosing listeners.
