reading kehlani's tweets again i think she called her out partly because she's upset about lana mentioning her. don't get me wrong, she did the right thing but the way she called her out so soon makes me think they were kind of waiting for an oportunity. btw, I don't think this is going to damage her career but imo people are going to remember this for quite some time and gonna keep calling her racist and all the stuff, and i'm PRAYING that she doesn't say anything too controversial in the books or the album bc this is too much already

I'm really disappointed, I'm not gonna lie. I can't understand how there are people defending her, I've always defended her even when she hasn't been right or has said stupid things, but this is the first time I feel I can't defend her, it's like I see her differently now and I don't like it. She's white, rich, and she've already screwed up many times talking about politics and social topics because she never wants to get too much involved, but last week she had time to be talking about the same thing four days in a row, even tho I think people twisted her words, she talked in a victimizing like tone. She tried to make clear 453935 times that she's not racist, but now she's not capable of talking about such an important topic? I'm 99% sure she doesn't want to talk because she's afraid of being dragged again, but if you're not a racist, then post something and don't give a damn about what people says, bc the fact that she cares more about being criticized than giving voice to a topic like this just shows what i always thoght, that even she's a good person and she doesn't have bad intentions, she doesn't recognize her privilege and that's the main problem with her, she lives in her own bubble and doesn't care about anything that doesn't affect her. Plus, if you' been dating a tv cop that was even accused of being racist and now, after a week justifying yourself and stating non stop that you're not racist, you stay silent, you can't expect people to think that you care about BLM. I'm late for this thread but since these photos came out I've been confused and haven't really known what to think about this whole situation. I'm not from US so I'm not so aware of how everything works there, for example where I live people are too exaggerated when they talk about the police, and there are good cops, but I guess everything is different and much worse there, so I was going to ask if it was really THAT bad to be a cop in the United States but after reading this thread I think it's clear to me that it is lmao. I've always admired Lana and considering she doesn't usually talk about a lot of social or political things, last year I was a little relieved when she went through all that Kanye thing, Trump, when she said her political views were liberal, then she released Looking for America etc, but suddenly she says she's a centrist and tbh the first time i read that i thought maybe she said it so no one would attack her too much for mentioning Kanye in The Greatest, and that she was being neutral as she is often when she talks about political issues, but i really don't know what to think anymore, after all these weeks of reading bad comments on twitter about their relationship i assume that being a cop in US is really bad. Personally I have never cared too much about her private life or who she dates because we never really know anyone's life, and I even tend to overlook when she makes some uninformed or controversial comments about politics but I really don't know what to think, I've always liked her as a person and I really love her but is true that her comments and her actions are somewhat contradictory, yet I still admire her but with all her statements this year I feel a bit confused idk
