    First I thought Norman Fucking Rockwell was the album of the year, then I thought it was Charli, then again I believed It was Turn off the light. But no, the album of the year is def Magdalene. Such an experience

    sucker's so underappreciated, it got so many gems. sucker, breaking up, body of my own, so over you, caught in the middle, need ur luv. and the scrapped sucker songs, wheww, some of her best

    Light It up and Need Ur Love are some of her best but the rest of the album Is... Run of the mill... I mean yeah the songs are catchy but average

    Ok you guys onto more pressing matters

    I may get to meet her in Milan, what should I ask her? Like, what’s the biggest unsolved mastery of Charli XCX?

    I initially wanted to ask her about Waterfall but it’s pretty much dead at this point

    They both are very different lyrically and sonically, so I can't really compare them BUT they're definitely her best albums

    yes I'm not saying FROOT is not good... but i don't know. I mean since she had like this "found myself breakthrough" is like... in her songs lirically she acts like "I know it all" but she's selling obviousness.. I don't know, it does kinda get on my nerves, while her first works, imo had a rawness and honesty she doesn't have anymore

    and it's not like she makes up for lyrics with melody..

    I mean it’s not the worst thing I’ve ever listened to (though it’s bad)

     

    The thing is if Rita Ora or some other boring flavour of the month pop singer had come out with this I would’ve literally not batted an eye cause ultimately I don’t care

     

    But Marina, this is completely not her. Where’s the girl who sings about bird longing for her presence cause she has been made into wine? Where is the Marina who sings about girl having abortions?

     

    Like from an inside perspective this is way worse than just a bad album cause it represents the artistic death of a unique artist who’s now been replaced by whatever the fuck it is she’s been labelling herself with

    preach it sis! 

     

    maybe this is an unpopular opinion but in my opinion also FROOT was not as good as family jewels and signs of her decay as an artist could be noticed in 2013 too. And that's why I only listened to L+F a few days ago and wrote about it ahahaha

    and then imagine exclude I'm not hungry anymore from FROOT.

    I still don't get the HH + End of the Earth + FEAR hate like she wanted to do lighthearted pop and she did a good job. Is it as good as TFJ? No, but it doesn't have to be. She wasn't going for a deep complex album, she just wanted to make a lighthearted pop album. I can understand why people dislike half of LOVE though, it gets corny at times, but End of the Earth truly is one of her best songs like wheww cinematic masterpiece i said what i said

    Sorry but I have to disagree. She doesn't sell herself neither this album as lighthearted. Yes it has some lighthearted songs, but most of the times she comes out as pretentious and arrogant. Like okay we get it, you studied can you pls chill now

    I wonder what Charli means by “doing something drastic” for her next release...

     

    I don't know but I feel like the PC Music collaboration has reached its peak of evolution and maturity with Charli, I feel like it's been a linear progression from Vroom Vroom till here, so I wouldn't be surprised if the next album would a total different genre with new collaborators and producers

    I am really shocked by the sad news... Idol culture really needs some changes. Love and condolescence to Sulli and her loved ones. I also hope Taeyeon Is okay, she's also been depressed for a long time and often said in interviews and ig stories.

    just bought the ticket for the concert in Milan... SO HAPPY  :party:

    I wanna meet her too... What time are u angels going in queue so you can have access to the M&G? I really hope in Italy there won't be so many fanatics so I don't have to get there at 6/7 am

    I didn't like Clarity all that much, imo it was less lively and not that good as Era 1 and not inspired in general (even if some song makes an exception)... But daaaaamn Turn Off The Light is so good and the new songs really adds much more to the Ep 1. Demons and Knives are so good

    it's not even her best song???? round & round is 1000 times  ( :creep: ) better than taxi

    does anyone have a dl link for Light it up and/or Sucker outtakes/bsides/unreleased/demoa in general? I think I have all the post pc music leaks I guess and I want to discover the ones from Sucker Era
