  1. I eat my words back... I had my doubts on this project but she really did something there. Love it love it love it, it's fucking perfection. How can it not be bad after the roll out to this record was so shaky? All the songs and their sounds make sense now and I even like Chosen Family. And there I say it, Comme des garçons is the worst on this thing, I wish she didn't release it as single and leave it off the album. Srsly Girl, she have so much better songs on this album, what was she thinking? Anyway the album is so good, best release in 2020 till now.

  2. I don't know, to me, the difference is that Orange Trees is one of the few songs on that album that are not try-hard deep. It doesn't take itself too seriously, it's just a fun little bop (a very basic one, admittedly). Enjoy Your Life, on the other hand... You can just tell that Marina wrote it and thought she had done something. But she hadn't. With those cringeworthy lyrics, not even the most amazing production in the world could have saved this song.

And that's my main problem with Love + Fear. Marina just shouldn't have tried to make it seem deeper than it is. There's nothing wrong with making "just" pop music. Like, I don't mind Baby, Karma, Orange Trees, Please Don't Call Me... They're nothing special, but they're decent, catchy pop songs. But if you put out an album like Love + Fear and then act like you've written the music equivalent to Freud's Psychoanalysis, then yes, you will get dragged and it will be deserved.

    Damn sis' you preached!

  3. liquid in my hands,

    liquid in my mouth,

    footage on my phone,

    did it with your tongue

    jesus CHRIST :defeated:

Are these recordings of Charli blowing Huck also for the Forever music video?

  4. Do y’all dislike the whole album or just most of it? Most of the album’s just generic pop (which i dont mind) but imo End Of The Earth and Believe in Love are def on par with her earlier music.

I admit i like those songs a lot. But they are admittely the only good ones. I have a guilty pleasure for Superstar and Too Afraid, and the You Demo is very good and alive compared to the album version. Handmade Heaven is good too. But, I repeat, this album is listenable, sometimes even with pleasure, but trying to save it is a stretch.

  5. Bad/uninspired lyrics

    Bland/boring production

    Lazy concept

    Lazy cover

    Aged like milk

It is bad sis, don't try defending it. As much as I love Marina too, let's not deny the undeniable.

I was not defending it. It's not like basic is a positive attribute. How do I put it, it's listenable, I guess? I just think that how it is described here it seems an unlistenable pile of shitty songs with no melodies. And it isnt, it's not good ofc, it may be bad, but it's not terrible. It's terribly basic and average. That's what it is.

  6. He's a genius but... Janet. Ugh.

She did really good music back then.. Nasty and Rhythm Nation are still IT, and the Velvet Rope is still a good album. We don't see it now but she was revolutionary back then. Maybe even a better artist than her overrated brother.

  7. How old is Huck? Sometimes he looks like a 40yo indie artist scout and sometimes he looks like a 14yo having a hard time to grow a beard...

    He's hot tho

  8. I, for one, think Venus is an absolute mess and I LOVE IT. The chorus is absolutely one of her best.

I'm serious and I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that Venus is Gaga's best song. I think it's one of her, if not THE highest point of her career. That song is pop perfection
