  1. go dua! also love taylor's flower dress, so pretty. dua's dress is truly barbie material, i would have died if i'd seen it as a child (a compliment).
  2. not a taylor fan (not a hater either) but i love this performance, dreamy forest vibes, and her outfit is great
  3. omg! hope we get to see the liner notes/booklet soon i am dyyyyiiiinnnggg for the video now that i've heard the song and am absolutely obssessed with it...plus the teaser looked gorgeous.
  4. we know the grammys are trash but i still love to see fiona winning. absolutely one of the greatest songwriters of her generation, only getting better and better with time.
  5. one of my greatest hopes for lana's career going forward is that she figures out a way to make tour both bearable for her and a more intimate reflection of her songwriting talents. like, play more dates at smaller venues, play songs that you are not absolutely, visibly sick of singing, switch up your setlist to suit your vibe from night to night and work in some deep cuts for the stans. tbh rn would be a perfect time to do a livestream show for the album release– and it doesn't even require her to tour– but i can't see her doing it. her newer work is so incredible it should absolutely be the majority of her setlists but .
  6. for those who chose not to listen to the title track and/or LMLYLAW i am so envious of your willpower– i have absolutely no ability to judge them in terms of the rest of the album since i'm automatically more interested in the songs i haven't already heard a bunch. tbh it'll prob be months before i'm able to make a somewhat accurate ranking of the songs– i love both COCC and LMLYLAW but can't see the forest for the trees bc they already feel way more lived in to me than the other songs. i knew this would be the case from past album release experiences but again, i just can't stop myself from listening to new music the second it comes out!
  7. Yes! I hear tori in WD too– damn, when will tori get the flowers she deserves for changing the musical landscape.
  8. no but i've ordered a few things from europe over the course of the past year and overseas mail has been extra slow bc of covid– hang in there, it'll arrive eventually.

    Song vs. Song

The blackest day (love DBJAG but I’ve only spent a week w it and TBD is an all time fav) vs Yosemite
  10. ahhh i love j tree, this will be so magical! i was there in early dec. and it was dreamy. highly recommend a smoothie from natural sisters cafe will yr there.
  11. what songs did you claim before you heard the album and did they turn out to be your song after all?
  12. but i think that chemtrails stand in for all the uncertainty of life– the "country club" guarantees comfort, leisure, and affluence but the chemtrails– uncertainty, danger, conspiracy– always hover, making things "not what they seem." i think it works perfectly to describe the kind of space lana explores on the album, which as she's said is all about figuring out where she's going next now that she's achieved these milestones as an artist and human without losing any of her wildness.
  13. totally agree. wanderlust isn't half as rich, evocative, and story-telling as COCC. COCC is so perfectly lana– specific, both on the nose and very uniquely her.
  14. yeah it’s slightly sheerer than, for example, the violet shirt I just got, but not the thin, almost silky looking cotton I thought it would be based on the pics
  15. UV=HM=COCC NFR AKA LFL Paradise BTD
  16. FYI i got my chemtrails shirt today and it is def not as sheer as it looks in the photos posted here
  17. i am more excited for BTIG than ever– wondering if it'll tie in closely to COOC like Violet did with NFR. and hope we get it this year! which i think is likely (or early '22) given that she's busy doing edits now.
