They're referring to her original song of the same name I'm pretty sure
-
"I'm about to jump in a portal right now" is a vocal take from the Puzzles session so yes, you're listening to an edit of that The actual song length is 1:16 and it leaked in 2021.

No clue but I guess "Past Life (Demo)" is a fake/extended version of Puzzles or something? "I remember this moment from a past life"

stored in our core. felt over and over again. we’ve been here before. in different vessels, on different planets. playing different roles. evolving and learning from one another. the synchronicities we witness, we’ve planned them together. transmuting obstacles into opportunities. for growth. our language as a barrier to communicate. what is incomprehensible to us as humans, is home to us as souls. I know Moon Cycle has some kooky lyrics but Garden?! WHAT… that song is pure excellence
-
The album is 13 tracks long, so yeah
-
It's sort of funny how we have the same first name and you created the Melanie thread in 2013. I've had multiple people asking if we're the same person Fake asf

Death is still coming on Friday, she probably wants it to be a surprise ala Copy Cat, The Bakery, etc (even though the release date and title were revealed in February )
-
So K-12 and After School were dragged through the mud, but suddenly Portals (without a single song released yet - mind you) is where she lost her appeal? I don't wanna be that person but a lot of you just love being haters, like…

Race — I believe so. This was a 2013 EP contender, although we aren't sure if it made it, since she didn't perform or speak about the song very much. A Million Men — Yes, a studio-recorded (but acoustic) version leaked in 2021. After recording the acoustic demo, Melanie's plan was for the final version to have strings and proper production The only Take Me to the Moon songs to receive re-recorded/studio versions for the 2013 EP were I Think I'm Crazy, Birthing Addicts and Curly Cue. Fairly certain the rest (including TMTTM's title track of sorts, The One) were never touched after 2011-12. We actually do have Take Me to the Moon's "studio" version of ITIC. The whole project was registered before she went on The Voice, so self-produced acoustic and probably recorded through her laptop haha. I love her old songs though The leaked file of The One from Ron Shapiro's SoundCloud page is another self-produced laptop recording— so it might be the TMTTM version… There was also a scrapped music video for that song, meant to be the follow-up to I Think I'm Crazy. Melanie posted a few stills from it.

Is there any particular ones you need? I think I've at least got the export dates for mostly everything. Btw, all K&OL Portals leaks were recorded throughout October 2020–April 2021 (with the exception of March Piano from 2020) void v1, barely juice vibe, walkie talkie vibe - October 15, 2020 death v2, garden v2 - November 17, 2020 puzzles v1, corpse v0.1, mother of pearl v0.1 - March 9, 2021

I don't have an exact date for Seesaw, but I don't think the June 2015 thing on the Wiki is accurate to when it was recorded/written. I have a file from someone else of Play Date 1 (leaked demo) with a December 2014 date, which seems more accurate for the Jennifer Decilveo tracks.

Well.... it's out :3 Erase Her https://dbree.org/v/5640fa

I think "pissing on the soils that [he] spoiled" is basically her saying the guy didn't care about or respect the garden (their relationship) despite all the effort she put into sustaining it. Also sort of similar to like, pissing on someone's grave lol Erase Her/Trophy (2017) and NDJE (2020) started spreading in a batch together, but those three originated from somewhere else - Michael Keenan didn't produce them. There wasn't some massive Keenan hack like what happened with K&OL.

The only Cry Baby song to be truly "replaced at the last minute" like people say, that I've ever been able to find any legit confirmation on, was Half Hearted. An alternate tracklist was published to Idolator's website in an article from July 16th, 2015. The only difference between that and what came out is the deluxe track ordering, and obviously Half Hearted being in Play Date's spot: Deluxe Edition 14. Half Hearted 15. Cake 16. Teddy Bear I'm assuming Idolator had gotten early access to this tracklist through Atlantic press or something since Melanie has done multiple interviews with them throughout the years. If you go through older posts on here, you can see pre-release discussion about HH being replaced by PD— but there's nothing about Jumprope or Haunted until much later. The two songs were registered since 2014, so that's likely where the rumours about them replacing other tracks came from. People thought JR would be about the big bad wolf tying her up…lol
-
You probably read it on the Wiki page, I did too. If anyone can link/find where she actually said that it'd be very appreciated, but otherwise I'm concluding it fake just like the "Tag, You're It replaced Jumprope!"/"Soap replaced Haunted!" sort of stuff that still gets spread around without any credibility (mainly due to people adding fake stuff to the Wiki) There's also no direct references or callbacks to TYI in Erase Her, only a somewhat similar theme
-
Melanie was rumoured to have confirmed the existence of a "TYI flashback song" on K-12, although I'm pretty confident she never actually did. There's no online mentions of it anywhere until after a random account with very few edits added it to the MM2 Wiki page (with no source). Me and some friends from Discord were also discussing this awhile back and going through her old interviews from 2016–17, the ones where she talks about The Principal and Recess are easy to find - but this one exists nowhere.
-
The alleged Tag, You're It flashback song is fanon. That was a completely unrelated rumour someone added to Melanie's Wiki page in 2017, which never had any actual basis to it. However! Erase Her is real — and it's leaking soon, so don't worry about that. The song is about police racial bias in missing peoples cases: "Who cares if she don't look like you? Karma will come back to eat you Why does she have to be white to be seen as a fucking equal? You erase her, the radio news and the paper!" Sessions for K-12— the original, standard album— started out in late 2015 and were confirmed to have been completed in very early 2017. Following this, she kept writing more songs (Erase Her/Trophy/Notebook all date back to around June of 2017 I believe) for a planned "deluxe," and so this eventually turned into the After School EP. Melanie's own wording:
-
I am your mother … you listen to me …
-
'Peach' isn't anything significant — it was only the placeholder name they used while working on Portals stuff, to keep the actual title in secrecy before its announcement. Similar thing happened with Mad Hatter's music video ('Banana Well') and K-12 ('Soup + Salad') Some of the photos, videos etc were tagged like that too
-
No we need more more more… she recorded so much
