    The way Taylor can throw public hissy fits over petty shit like being namedropped in a one-off Netflix "serial dater" joke (Ginny & Georgia 2021), but she's doing seemingly nothing to help the grieving family of the young fan who DIED at her concert… it just doesn't sit right with me. Like, wtf? Maybe I'm being harsh, but these days it's hard to believe she cares about anything other than herself and money. It could be a legal thing I guess, but with how rich she is, I can't help but feel that the least she could do is provide some sort of support for the family— I feel really horrible for them.

    Taylor hasn't even reached out to the family? that's fucked up. I mean, I knew she was cold-blooded and money hungry, but I thought she'd at least have some basic human decency.

    because i consider a true romance outtake midnight only and the rest goes to just sessions

    Well, these songs were definitely considered for the album: 

    • Interior
    • Jungle
    • Losing My Cool
    • Mess
    • Midnight
    • Nothing Too Serious
    • Violins

    And probably the other Heartbreaks and Earthquakes tracks since 5/8 of those ended up on True Romance. (Champagne Coast, Dreams Money Can Buy, Spoons)

    I often mourn the CLXII we could have gotten. It's funny you mention Paper Love, Lifted and Downtown because I actually really like those :toofloppy: but on the other hand—I never enjoyed Need You, like, sorry but it's so fuckin boring, the producer even wanted to give it a more maximalist sound but Allie said no. Also, I really prefer Mike Wise's original productions for songs like Casanova and OHDH compared to the minimally-produced album versions. OHDH was especially ruined. Allie randomly deciding to pursue the 'minimalistic' sound for that album really set her back IMO. 

     

    There's actually a cool early draft tracklist from like late 2015–early 2016ish, it has 15 tracks, but funnily enough, only 4 of them ended up on the final album. And a good chunk of them were actually older CLXI leftovers (2013–14) that ended up getting reworked similarly to TLIV.

    But if the film portrays him in a bad light like people say it does, and if certain family members like Lisa Marie are against it, it'd make sense why Lana potentially wouldn't want to be involved, since she's a huge Elvis fan

    Just so y'all are aware: Sky does have a song called Overplayed (it was meant to be a single during the Cry Baby era, she talked about it in an interview) but this ""writer's demo"" is sadly fake and not related at all 😭 it's really good tho
