The trio is so good and slutty! It helps that i liked the original songs beforehand. So shocking that clay of all boyfriends was able to produce that 😭. I also love Batiste Interlude- it feels like a daydream and also feels like being there in the studio with them. It’s so cool to hear them seem so excited about making music!

The defense of “well she lets her family and friends use it,” is crazy because that defeats the purpose of the “it’s for her safety!” argument. Nobody is swarming her mom or her brother or a random manager on her team at airports. There’s no reason a retired 60 year old can’t drive for an hour instead of taking a 20 minute flight. And it also nullifies the stalking argument cause if it’s so often not Taylor then… its not “leaking her location.” Also, theres no way someone could use that to actually find her. You would have like maybe 30 minutes to get to the airport before she leaves and there’s no way you’re getting through security anyway. Considering there’s never pap pics of her leaving the airport she obviously leaves from some sort of vip private hanger exit or something so no one will see her getting in the car either so like… Like yeah ok she can’t do commercial flights. But she needs to limit her fucking emissions drastically. And yes so do a lot of other celebs, but obviously Taylor is the one getting attention for it cause everything she does is front page news right now.

the boycott divest and sanctions movement (which has been around for ages) has been saying for years long lists like this are counterproductive. they say an organized focus should be specific companies that blatantly hurt palestinians or have factories in israel. they have a very selective list on their site- including HP, chevron gas stations, and a makeup brand called ahava. Those boycotts have worked- i think sodastream closed an israeli factory because of it and ben and jerrys changed their position. i think they played a part in lana (and the other artists) cancelling israeli concerts. BDS did mention mcdonalds as an “organic boycott”- meaning they didn’t officially call for it but the common people started. They support it in specific areas that have called for it which i don’t know if LA/Cali has but I’m assuming so since it seems like an American movement to boycott McDonald’s. But McDonald’s is not high on BDS’ list of boycotts. also, BDS movement hasn’t breathed a word about starbucks so i think anyone advocating for boycotting them for Palestine needs to reflect on why they’re doing something bds has specifically said not to. If you’re boycotting starbucks for labor and union reasons or exploitation of farmers (local coffeeshops all the way!) that’s great but it’s not about Palestine!

It’s crazy how awful her voice is. i love the lyrics of verses she sings like “my momma raised me on twin peaks”, “are these my good years or do i have none?” but it hurts my ears. I can deal with her on the cover IF she styled Lana.. Nikki’s little vintage country outfits are so good like that big dress she wore to newport folk fest (?) to sing with lana ate her up bad.
