I love having tons of music but I still feel COTCC should have come out late last year. I feel the production/vinyl manufacture was delayed bc of Covid. It just fits the pandemic haze with its desolate desert dreamscape, it’s open and vulnerable. BB is a post pandemic reflection, a fiery storm of old dreams and beautiful hopes colored in blues and flowery landscapes. ideally: NFR! - summer 2019, COTCC - winter 2020, BB - autumn 2021.

first listen: Miss Honeymoon has been dethroned, BB is my second favorite of Lana's album of time. The original trio (WW, TB, BB) icons, amazing songs. BBS.... BBS CAME FOR MY BLOOD. I FEEL I've heard this song before, I feel I know this song intimately and it knows me. It might be my edible, but its beautiful, experimental, unhinged, incredibly sweet, wild, SHE IS EVERYTHING ..... BLACK BATHING SUIT ! Lana has really experimented, even at times giving me Kate Bush vibes. This album is BTD meeting COTCC. Nah, they had sex and this is their baby BORN TO CHEMTRAILS UNDER THE COUNTRY CLUB. It's her past and her wishes for the future. Its old era meeting new. AMAZING CAREER HIGHLIGHT

Idk I think he could go either way. He really liked Blue Banisters and Text Book, and was meh about Arcadia (THE LACK OF TASTE) and WW. He hasn’t explicitly disliked any of her new tracks so I feel something like 6 or 7. (he gave NFR! an 8)

spending the last of my night re-listening to COTCC until I pop an edible and ascend to the majesty that BB is gonna be (btw COTCC is so beautiful and dreamy. like not beautiful and dreamy like Honeymoon, but a very bare-bones, stripped down beauty you find out in the desert at sunset. it’s Lana’s calmest moment and most serene album)

in the middle of my lana re-listen for BB and I finally got to LFL. this is definitely her most accessible album, in terms of what was mainstream at that time, but uff that first half is soooo hard to get through. last couple of tracks though? I agree with this statement, frankly I think Lust for Life is her most mainstream album, doing pop sounds and mixing it with trap and other contemporary musical references. The last tracks are the most Lana-esque and the first half is incredibly accessible to the gp.
