    Including bonus tracks...

I dislike 4 songs from Born to Die (out of 15)

3 from Paradise (out of 9)

5 from Ultraviolence (out of 16)

1 from Honeymoon (out of 14) :defeated:

4 from Lust for Life (out of 16)

1 from Norman (out of 14)

COCC will definitely debut in my top 3 LDR albums :hype:

How on earth do you dislike FIVE songs from UV :horror: I can't even mention ONE bad song on that album... but anyway :awk: COCC has no skips wbk

i'm also very excited for wild at heart, i reread the mojo article just now and a few quotes really stood out to me:

    • "Wild At Heart and the title track (...) hint at something unattainable."
    • "Hence country twangs (on Wild At Heart and Nikki Lane duet Breaking Up Slowly)"

i'm super interested to see how the themes from chemtrails and wild at heart connect, i feel like based on the title alone i can feel how the wildness of each track would intertwine! wild at heart gives me red car, flying through the clouds, ivy and vines, valleys and plains, running through the fields sort of energy

    • "Not All Who Wander Are Lost – a song whose sky-high trill reminds Del Rey of 'Cinderella in the movie where she's holding the blue-bird' – romanticises wanderlust."

also this part, i was thinking about it more after linking a bunch of aurora songs and somewhere over the rainbow yesterday as a similar vibe – i know this isn't cinderella but cinderella doesn't actually sing that high i'm pretty sure... :bebe: so maybe she was thinking more like this with the bluebird

and naturally because i love to share and the post is already long and annoying enough :lanahairflip:... some other quotes that stand out to me:

"If For Free is the record's presiding spirit, you can also feel the vibrations of Mitchell's Cactus Tree, a song that acknowledges the hard work of 'being free' – shedding compromise, swerving control."

"Dark But Just A Game is so her to me... fly down the rabbit hole and smile in the same breath." (giving me alice in wonderland thank you jack)

"Chemtrails over the Country Club appears to reveal a more vulnerable Del Rey: lighter on the LA menance, more innocently emotional: 'We did it for fun/We did it for free,' she sings sweetly on the song Yosemite, 'we did it for the right reasons.' It's an album that looks at the road ahead, but also, back to where she's come from, making her strongest connection yet with her antecendents."

"That looseness – a willingness to wander – feels more present on Chemtrails than previous albums, yet she insists it has been 'so much harder than any other record I've made."

"Del Rey has long used Los Angeles to colour and contour her songs. But Chemtrails roves further – Tulsa, Nebraska, Florida – a fitting backcloth for a record about freedom in a world where everything has a price."

"and a tentative reorientation away from manicured lawns and towards wilder terrain: Yosemite, and the storied canyons of L.A."

Loved this post. I can't fucking wait but still I'm going to sit here, drink tea and wait peacefully knowing she has a masterpiece coming, and it will free us all.

COCCARCH is a month of peace and unity... let's celebrate as a chorus.... YOU'RE IN THE WIND I'M IN THE WATER giphy.gif?cid=ecf05e479e3655f738e0739841

anyways, what to YOU is the track(s) you're most intrigued about? not necessarily what you're anticipating the most, but what ignites your curiosity??

for me probably NAWWAL, dark but just a game, and yosemite because i'm very interested to see what they'll sound like and what the melody will be

Not you and me trying to cheer everyone up lol I feel like Wild at Heart will be something very different from what she's ever done before and we are going to be surprised!

i love music that's reminiscent of nature, and the beauty of our universe, there's something so psychedelic, familiar, and universal about it, i feel that way about a lot of the "ldrakalg" album, i hope cotcc has a similar vibe, the fact that yosemite was described as "acoustic" and a "return to nature" is very promising! i also feel this way about the title track, there's this specific vibe, of a bright summer morning, with a bright blue sky, and bright green grass, it's nostalgic, summery, and peaceful :flutter:

I feel the same way about the title track. I am also a person who's very connected with her childhood and I love this kind of songs that remains me of that purity and naivety.

i kind of imagine this for NAWWAL, i know the reviewer said cinderella or something but whenever i think of sky high trills and princesses i think of aurora :wowcry: but obviously less princessy and there won't be any princes or animals... unless niko and topanga or jack/clay have surprise features

YES these descriptors exactly, this is a perfect imagine... a vulnerable, sweet, lush, rich, gorgeous, thrilling yet soothing masterpiece

Oh God but it would be so magical and adorable if there were little animals noises, and something that sounds like fairy dust and the sound of water falling into a fountain or a lake full of mermaids... is it too much to ask for?

it's possible that "not all who wander are lost" could be similar to a classic disney film, like cinderella or snow white, considering the fact that it's produced by jack antonoff, it'll likely have a naturistic, organic, acoustic vibe, so it could be similar to her beautiful cover of "chet baker" which is sweet and whimsical, yet still acoustic

This is what I'm expecting and I looove it so much. A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes is my favorite Disney princess song. It's so dreamy. That's the first thing that came to my mind when they described it.

Fuck this album is going to blow everyone out of the water we truly know nothing about the soundscape :angie: we might know the instruments and some of the descriptions but we don’t know anything about how it will be interpreted personally into our lives or even the impact it may have on us... lets start claiming tracks!

For me I would have to say Tulsa Jesus Freak or Wild at Heart

I claim Dark But Just a Game and Wild at Heart :candy:
